This is a picture, which I found on the Internet. I only remember, that this man was a scientist, who worked temporarily in Germany, I think, it was Potsdam University. Does anyone know, who it is?
Uwe
I believe this guy was on this site originally:

Haha, we've posted quite the same link in the same moment!
Google is my guru!
PATRICK J. O'BRIEN
"Colleagues have pointed out this site to me and suggested I join. I thought it is about time someone with long hair added their contribution."

Check the link, a long hair club for scientists!
Scroll down and you'll find the man!

(Look near the bottom of the page.)
This is Patrick O'Brian. His field is PETROLOGY. (I am guessing that is oil related.)
His hair is at least 6 feet long. Yes, curly hair CAN grow very long too.

"...His field is PETROLOGY. (I am guessing that is oil related.)..."
Petrology is a field in geology that focuses on the make-up and formation processes of rock types. There are petroleum geologists who concentrate this field to hydrocarbon bearing rock types and structures.
WWT (retired (hee hee !) geologist)
(approximately!) petros is Greek for rock, and leum (or something like that) oil. Petroleum is rock oil!
Petroglyph: glyph is an icon (like a letter), so this is a symbol scratched into rock.
Petrify: turn to stone
For some reason, I really want floor length hair now.
