After my hair dries, I comb it from starting from the ends and then brush my hair afterwards. I feel that it makes my hair straighter and better looking. Do you guys think it's really necessary to comb and brush afterwards?
Note that when I say 'straight', I'm talking about my bangs, sides and top hair. The back is a mess and is the worst aspect of my hair...I have this really weird undercut due to a trimming session gone wrong and the 'lower' back hairs are only 2-3 inches at most and are ridiculously curly for some reason. It appears longer because the hair that starts from the crown is like 6-7 inches and covers the undercut. That is much straighter and smoother than the lower hairs, but I have had trouble combing/brushing the hairs at the back ever since I started hitting 5 months *14 now*. Not to mention the undercut hairs can get tangled with the rest of the back hairs. It really is a mess so how can I deal with brushing the back? I always get hairs ripped even though I start from the ends and I don't have time to de-tangle anything. It's hard and time-consuming.
Oh, and is it normal to think that every guy you see has better hair than you? :S Been annoying me recently...
No responses? o.O
I do apologize as I am only getting towards the bottom of the page just now, but I actually alway use a "brush comb" (its the size of a brush but the bristles are just like comb teeth and very far spread apart) to brush the ends out and work upwards to minimize yanking my hair and then brush it normally afterwards when its fully dry.
As far as the little underbits I can understand, I sported the back of my head shaved for a while and now growing out I still have a lot of little curly-ish hairs that poke out. Though I am a female I can also contest that my guy, who is also a very nice longhair, has TONS of very curly underhairs and as far as I know I don't think he ever sported the shaved look, though I may be mistaken. Usually what I do is if I am wearing my hair up I will take a tad bit of really strong styling gel and just kinda press those hair up and into the hair gathering in the ponytail or bun, the still fall down eventually but I can assure you they look 10 times worse to you then they do to anyone else. Might have something to do witht he underside of your hair not getting sunlight or something, I don't know, I'm certainly no sceintist.
To tame the underside, after you brush your hair on the topside you may want to try running it underneath from the nape of your neck outwards, sometimes I find that make the curly little buggers a little more behaved.
And yes, its completely normal to always think other guys have better hair then you....Many of my male friends and even my guy and many of the fine men on this board I am green with envy over thier long thick locks as I sadly have baby fine hair from my mother's side.
