Todd
Sorry, Todd but bleach=damage. I speak from experience!! Don't know what help I can offer, other than to get it dyed professionally by someone who specializes in color.
Hi Todd,
Your hair looks in grat condition to me from the pic. I certainly would not take all the ladies advice and certainly seek the advice of a professional stylist.
On a side issue do you have a link to your band as it's always great to hear and see tribute bands.
Cheers,
John.B
hey Todd!
sounds like u have damaged ends, all u can do is get the dead trimmed off. if u dont, it could end up doing even more damage. once u have a split end, it never goes away. there r products that can smooth the hair shaft that is frayed or split. its just a temp solution that has to be done after every wash. i understand about have to dye ur hair. bleaching can really do the damage. what products do u use in/on ur hair???
there is a new product, H2Ion. its supposedly really good for damaged hair. here is a link if u want to check it out =)...
Like everyone else says bleach blonde = damage, this can be minimised if the colouring done by a professional.
The ends tend to endure the most damage, so consider a 1 inch trim to start with then 1/2 inch every two months. NET growth will still be about 1/2 inch or more every two months.
Use products to avoid damage, Redken Extreme "Anti-Snap" leave in conditioner is very good to use on the ends of your hair and as a general detangler as you comb out your hair. Available from most Redken Salons.
Hi Todd B. Bleach is very bad for your hair. I pulled up an image for colour comparison. It looks like it is slightly lighter than Gregg Allman's. (see photo)
Instead of cutting it short, try just trimming the damaged ends off. Removing just 1/2" of frizzy damaged ends may work wonders, allowing you to preserve as much length as possible. Also try using some hair repair products. It may help to get advice from a professional cosmetologist as well.

Thanks for pulling up the cool image of Gregg n ext to my Bnad Pic. It,s real nice I think I will use it on my Myspace page or something
Todd B.
Thanks for all the advice guys. I dont think I used Bleach per say but a light blond product. The last time I used a product that wasn't even permanent but said it wore off after so many shampooings :) My Daughter bought me some stuff from Sally Beauty Supply Ion 3 step damage repair product. Some kind of protein treatment. I will try that once a month and use a deep conditioner. I always keep my hair in 3 bands when not performing so it doesnt get tangled. I absolutly hate trying to get out tangles, I feel like i'm tearing my hair. I will also use a wide tooth comb instead of a brush from now on.Even with a brush I do try to be careful taking out tangles with my fingers first . Even so invarably some damage happens Ughhh. I just have a mental thing against putting a scissors to my hair.,..even if it is only to cut off 1/2 inch. Thanks again guys!
