Has anyone else heard of the hair mantra? You know, like sit and meditate saying to yourself "my hair is growing.....my hair is growing" and it'll grow faster! I don't know, I just had to post that because it seems so ridiculous....:D
I've never heard that before but I think it's just down to nature and genes and how fast your hair grows and not some old chant.

You are looking at the issue from the wrong side, its not because of the old chant that the hair grows quickly, its because you believe it works and the chant keeps you concentrated.
Isnt there people that say thay got cured from a disease because they believed they would? Dont we hear reports of someone that was ill but believed that a God or something would cure them and they get better? Maybe thats it, we believing in something, like placebos, you take them, they dont do nothing but you feel and get better.

If that truly worked I'm sure it would be used for more than just hair!

Although I have strong believes in the human mind and its capabilities, this seems rather unusual :D
Hey Mike, there's one universal mantra used in Buddhism all over the world that, when you recite it over and over and over, preferably as you are sitting in the lotus posture, will allegedly get you ANYTHING that you want, as long as your mind is focused on that one particular much-sought-after ob ject of your desire when chanting it. And it goes thus:
Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo
Translated into English, it basically means, "Devotion to the mystic (or cosmic) law of cause and effect through sound." It is thought to draw to oneself whatever it is you want to manifest in your life, as stated above. I don't see why this would exclude more and better and faster growing hair.
