Do any of you ride motorcycles? If yes what do you do with
your hair?
Just leave it loose? Does it get tangled?
Braided?
Or tucked up under a helmet or hat?
I'm thinking of riding one so just curious what to do with my
hair.
Thanks.
Not for many years now, but I miss it.
I used to wear it loose for years to start with, but it always got badly tangled by the slipstream. By the time my last bike died, I had settled on a low ponytail worn inside my jacket and held in by a scarf around my neck. In summer I used a white (fake) silk scarf to hold my hair under my collar (you knew that RAF fighter pilots used to wear white silk scarves, right?). In winter I wore my woolly college scarf.
These days I would probably braid my hair, but I only acquired that skill more recently.
Interesting idea! I could be like Snoopy and the Red Baron. ;)
I ride a Harley.Loose is not a good idea,it will tangle, badly.I use multiple ties and stick the tail down my shirt or jacket.Braids will work too.

Thanks! I didn't think of putting my hair inside of my shirt
or jacket. My hair is wavy/curly and probably would tangle
a lot. Whenever I detangle some hair always seems to break.
I"m not a rider, but I've got the following sites bookmarked from other threads here:
does a scooter count?
here is a pic' of what I ride
I ride a lot.
If you wear it loose or just in a regular pony tail it will get badly tangled.
Braiding would be good, or tuck your pony tail in your shirt if it's long enough. Mine is not long enough for either, so I either wear a ponytail and put up with the tangles, or put it in a loose bun inside the helmet.
Nice bike!
Hey, what's that car covered in the garage??
I just use a ponytail. It gets a little tangled.
I've seen other guys use multiple bands in a pony tail..
This is me on the race track.

Cool picture! Must be fun.
I want to thank everyone for repling. You all have some good
ideas. Maybe I can keep my hair from getting trashed.
