Like all the men i my family, I have always been big, but for some reason, ever since i had a minor period of illness in december, which i got over very quickly, i've been losing weight with no explanation.
I've Lost over 3 stone in 3 months, and although that might be good, it's kinda worrying me.
Any one else had this before
I'd suggest getting your blood sugar tested. You're at the same age that a friend of mine was when they found out he had Type 1 diabetes (the genetic one) and sudden weight loss is one of the symptoms.

Beanzo, me lad, Cap'n Andrew there's right (Haaargh!), please, please, please get friggin' checked for diabetes. My family's cursed with it as well, all up and down my late father's side of the family. My Dad, who passed away last year last month at, like, eighty-one, spent the last few years of his life, as in three decades, in an advanced state of deterioration, due to never ever having addressed his diabetes. Get your blood sugar level tested. Aaand, do the six hour not the four hour test. Unexplained weight loss is often a major symptom of Type I diabetes.
Do it sooooooooon, young man, soon!
Q. (who has long hair and a beard and no diabetes)
It may just be that you're getting older =) have you grown at all? I've stayed the same weight since I was ten but I grew quite a bit.
You've stayed the same wieght since you were 10????
You must be much older than 10 now because a while back you
posted a pic of you in a dance club.
LOL! Yea, I'm 17 now =P I MISS THAT CLUB!
Doctor. ASAP. Speculating here is pointless.
I agree with Steve. Get a checkup ASAP.
If I used the correct conversion 3 stone is 42 pounds??? (someone help me here please...)
That is significant.....a couple of years ago I lost a similar amount of weight in just a couple of months (while on a high cheesecake diet !)....and yes, as others have said, I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. Interestingly, during that period my hair stopped growing and I thought I had reached terminal length. Once I had my blood sugar under control, my hair started lengthening again.....
Time to chat with the Doc..
PLEASE let us know.
Walter
Agreed with previous responses.
The Classic Symptoms
Polyphagia (frequently hungry)
Polyuria (frequently urinating)
Polydipsia (frequently thirsty)
Other Symptoms Might Include
Blurred vision
Fatigue
Weight loss
Yeah you should be checking it out if its bugging you.
I don't take notice of my weight but my mum said in the past 2 years I lost a lot of weight, the only indication was my jeans getting looser and looser. But it just happens... And the funny thing is I don't feel as thin as she points out.
But 3 stone in 3 months sounds a bit scary dude. Be careful.
Let us know how the checkup goes! :/

Definitely see a physician asap. And remember ... Cannabis is an appetite stimulator.
I didnt even think about the possibility of diabetes.
Thanks guys
First of all, I agree with everybody else's advice: see a doctor about this as soon as possible. My nephew was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 12. One of the first signs of its onset was rapid weight loss, in addition to extreme thirst.
If it is diabetes, please do everything your medical care provider recommends regarding the proper management of the condition. If not managed properly, the quality and quantity of your years can be extremely limited. However, if you take care of yourself (i.e., eat healthily, exercise, and check your blood sugar levels regularly and maintain them at the proper levels) you can veritably THRIVE as well or better than most anybody.
I don't mean to jump to any conclusions. Hopefully, this isn't what's happening with you. If it is, though, just take a look at Mr. Doug Burns, above (a.k.a. Mr. Natural Universe). He's had diabetes since early childhood, but it doesn't seem to have limited him in any way.

Please get yourself to a doctor for a check up. Yes it could
be diabetes but there are also other things it could be too.
Only a doctor can diagnose the problem. The doctor will probably do blood tests, etc. 42 pounds is alot to loose
suddenly. Especially since healthy weight loss should
not exceed 2-3 pounds a week.
(If you loose more than 2-3 pounds a week you loose muscle
and your heart is a muscle.)
I agree you should see a doctor that's not normal.
Granted by time the NHS gets around to seeing you you might
loose another three stone but go anyway.
Hope it's nothing.
Kevin
Beans, has your diet or lifestyle changed?
P.S All,
I dont understand how people can suddenly find out their diabetic when their like 13, wouldn't eating somthing very high in sugar have killed or made them sick already?
My brother in law developed diabetes while in college and one of the things he experienced was weight loss... and thirst. He was more tired than usual and felt not entirely well. This precipitated from an illness that he had apparently recovered from but did something to his pancreas to cause it to stop producing insulin. Another observation my sister made- before he was actually diagnosed, she noticed a taste of peaches and a sweetish odor about him.
Before seeing an M.D. you might consider limiting sugar and carbohydrates from your diet. There are numerous sources of information that can help you out and I hope this all turns out to be nothing. Good luck.
Get it sorted and you will be OK - Good luck. Jonathan.
Thats too much too quickly and for a young lad like yourself, something is up so get it checked Beanz.
