Have any of you guys had hairdressers who always cut off more than you wanted? Like asking for hair halfway up the ears and ending up with something resembling a mullet instead?
Nope, I´ve had the same hairdresser for 4 years. The first trim I had, I made it very clear what I wanted and she has a great eye for taking the right amount.
I think the best everyone can do is to be very specific. I told her straight out that hairdressers are known to take off too much and that I want her to take it easy.
It´s not worth being too nice if you end up with half your hair on the floor. :)
Yes, that's why I always cut my own hair. :)
Happens all the time. A good many of them don't listen.
When I've had the odd trim in the past I've always gone to the same person for many years and have complete faith in them and they have always listened. Just proves there are some good trusted stylists about.

Mine cuts exactly what I tell her. If I ask for 1/8 inch, then that's what it is.
Once you find a good stylist, stick with her/him (don't go to the cheap salons...you get what you pay for). And tip them well!
