.. with the new zero tolerance policy in Dubai I am led to believe that any man entering the country who has long hair will be thrown straight into jail.

Anyone else heard this rumour?
Rumor? What rumor? When I went to Dubai (U.A.E) a couple of years back, there were a lot of teenagers with long hair. No adults, though.
As far as I know, neither Dubai nor Damascus allow jewish people in, so I wouldn't be surprised if long hair is next on the list.
Although I am a peace loving guy, for some reason, I had this fantasy vision when I first read your post.
My vision was of 100,000 long haired bikers, heavily armed with state of the art weapons, wearing body armour from head to toe. They ride into the largest town in Dubai, on their Harleys. The bikers deliver an ultimatum: Set the people free from oppression, or suffer the consequences. To avoid a blood bath, the government gives in, granting full human rights to all the citizens of Dubai.
This is how I feel towards self righteous control freaks that take human rights away, and play God. I wonder what percentage of the wars being fought, right now, around the world, involve fighting against oppressinon in some way. It is probably not much below 100%. Even though I am a peace lover, I do support defeating all oppression of human rights, by whatever means is necessary. Oppression of God given human rights should be met with maximum defiance.
Also, may all of those governments around the globe that oppress human rights be cursed forever.
