I'm watching HBO and the special mini series they
have on John Adams.
I room full of long haired men contemplating the
future of the struggling 13 colonies, all fighting
for their independence from England. So how did we
get from their to today where Long haired men are
slammed?
So what happened? Where did all those long haired men go?
You certainly won't find them in our government now.
I know what you mean it's a sad situation. Those were the days
and ah but I remember them well.

Great Post Bro, I have often wondered the same thing. Why was it that once upon a time great men wore their hair long. Some even wore wigs to effect the long haired look. Why is it now that we Long Hairs are mostly shunned by society
I remember in 73 going to the Watkins Glen Summer Jam Concert in Upstate New York. We had to park far from the venue(we didnt know the word venue back them....hahahaha)and walk through the town to get to the festival.The towns people were looking at us with hate in thier eyes yelling things like " go home freaks" " You damn Hippies aren't getting in the Festival it is sold out!" I was yelling back at them "Hey man we ARE your Sons and Daughters, why don't you just show us some Love?"
I'll never forget the feeling that gave me, those people looking at us with hatred in their eyes, it really was freaky.
My partner & I do not get asked or challenged often, but when we do we call it "Patriot Style," which we define as for freedom, respect for individual differences, and deeply concerned by the fascist government of the neocons, under the Bush front.
