Hi Rick thanks for posting those outstanding pics of your meetup earlier this month.Looks like you had a great day weatherwise. You guys are so lucky to have so many members living close together with a new face dropping in from time to time.As for the hair the pics speak for themselves....AWESOME!Well I'm hoping to catch up with you guys in late April when I make my way out west.Longhair Rules!Take care my friend.
Mark
Thanks, Mark. The weather was great, a little cool but the sun warmed it up nice. Looking forward to meeting you next month!

The pics ar fabulous, thanks for sharing! Seems you had a good time, and a lot of audience too...!
Had a great time. It was real cool watching some of the reactions from people. Next time we get together, I might bring my camcorder and tape some of the reactions. Might be interesting... :)

Thank you, Rick !
Beautiful photos. So unreal sometimes :)
Vivien
Thanks, Vivien. Are there many longhairs where you live?
--Rick
Yes, i can say many longhair. But often, it's shoulder-haired men. A little longer for the women. Almost never as long as there !
Thanks for documenting our meet. No wonder we were turning heads - it's rare to see that much hair all at once!
Ed
No problem at all. I love photography. If we can get heads to turn in SF, we can get heads to turn anywhere!
--Rick
Brilliant pictures Rick - Longhair forever!!
That one of Bill 'The Webmaster' is great, he looks like the grand wizard from Harry Potter or something, about to cast everyone into the black abyss!
Cheers Dave
Looks like you all had fun! The pictures look great!
Thanks, Mike. Any plans for you to come out this way soon?
--Rick
awesome photos! Rick has the perfect length thats how long i want my hair about ! mid back length would suit me def great pictures Rick keep it up! :)
"... Rick has the perfect length..." Blush, blush...
Glad you enjoyed the pics!
--Rick
Grat pictures guys. You guys make me look like I got a crew cut.....Hahahahahaha
Compared to the other guys [and gal] there, it seems like I also have a crew cut! Oh well... I'm catchin' up.
--Rick
That's the best thing about comparing yourself to those folks are "terminal" -- yours is STILL GROWING while theirs isn't! (This, by the way, is from somebody who's waist-length terminal.)
Those are definitely some awesome photographs; thanks for sharing! (and sooner or later I need to get my sorry carcass back out to San Francisco; I haven't been there since the early '90s)
You know how much I want you to come out here AND bring the missus!
Thanks for all of the replies. We definitely had fun and the weather was great. There were almost 100 pics total but these were IMHO, the best ones.
--Rick
That photo at the top of the second page of pics, entitled "Steve NoVA basking in the warm sun" is awesome, with his hair cascading down one side of his body and then rolling across his lap to emerge on the other side!
Thanks for the great pics, Rick, and cool to see you've now got your personal web site on line! Using commercial sites to stash stuff is cool, but it is so much more so to have your own space on the web where you can be truly yourself!
Bill
Definitely an awesome pic of Steve!
Thanks for all of your help!
Rick;
Thanks for sharing those fantastic photos ! I am always envious when I see photos of the longhair-meet-ups.(I have had two "near-misses"). But I am afraid I would look like I have a buzz-cut next to you guys (and Elizabeth)....did anyone add up total length of all??
The photo of Bill on the steps and the photo of Elizabeth and her Bill are really special.
Thanks Again
Walter
I am afraid I would look like I have a buzz-cut next to you guys
Walter, your hair might not be as long as theirs but you make up for it with the coll hat! :)
Todd B.
I like Walter's hat too, Todd. White Tail has promised me that I'll get to pose in his hat one day and I'm determined to make that happen!
Walter, I was so glad to see Rick take that picture of Bill with me. It seems the only times we end up together in photos are at hair meets.
One day....you WILL wear White Tail's hat !!
Glad you enjoyed the pics, Walter.
"... did anyone add up total length of all??" No, but I've got a 50ft. tape measure available! ;)

Wow, that's a lot of hair. Cool. In that city by the bay...(me imagining the Journey song).
Definitely a lot of hair! Very cool tune... Not the best quality, but check out this youtube vid. Also, check out the hair styles!

''When The Lights Go Down In The City''
Hi Rick,
Thank you for sharing these photos! There is lots of awesome hair, and I know that you all had a grand time! Next yera, I might be fortunate enought to meet up with some of you as part of my road trip!
Keep it growing,
David
We definitely contributed to the Golden Gate Park hair count that day. Hope to see you when you come out this way!
--Rick
FANTASTIC pics there, Rick, --- so sorry I didn't make it that day....
Well, next time... hopefully, I won't have to work; but, occasionally there are Saturdays when I do have to!
Take care, and thanks again for sharing those great pics!!!
- Ken
Glad you enjoyed the pics and hope you can make it the next time!

It's amazing to see all that long hair together, I can imagine that everybody looked around when you passed by.
Thanks for sharing these pics that way we can see how it was like.
Definitely. There were probably a lot more 'spectators' that we didn't see. Next time I'll bring my camcorder!
--Rick
"... It's amazing to see all that long hair together, I can imagine that everybody looked around when you passed by."
Fabulous shots Rick and great hair on all! Thanks for sharing these. I wish I could have been there!
Thanks, Jason. Do you have any plans for coming to California soon?
--Rick
Wow...lots of hair...I was especially surprised by the length of Ed G.'s hair...looks like some strands could reach his upper ankles! I hope he updates his site soon to show that amazing length. All the guys look good and the sun really shows off the colors. Congratulations guys...you are an inspiration to us all!
"... Congratulations guys...you are an inspiration to us all!"
Thanks. Don't get discouraged, take your time, and above all... uses lots of conditioner!
--Rick
Nice set of photos, men! Thanks for sharing them with us. By the way, how tall is Steve Nova? He looks well over 6 feet tall.
Thanks, Chris. Steve's tall but the wide-angle distortion makes him look much taller than 6ft.
--Rick
Hi Rick,
I hope you are well.
Thanks again for sharing the pictures of your recent meetup in San Francisco. It's great to see such beautiful examples of longhair in once place and turn a few heads and just showing how great longhair can be and a positive image. There is nothing wrong with turning a few heads.
Cheers,
John.B
Great pictures, thanks for posting. I'm sorry I couldn't make the main meet, but dinner was wonderful!
I keep forgetting you missed this part of the day. Gotta have some do-over pictures with you at the park another meet.
Do Over! Do Over! :D
Definitely nothing wrong with turning a few heads. A lot people need to have their heads turned every so often... wakes up the brain! Hope you're doing well, also.

Super pics Rick and thanks for sharing them with all of us. And WOW..............such inspiration for those in process of growing their hair out. Just fabulous!
Take care
Justin~
Awesome, awesome photos. Thank you for sharing them!
My Hair Site
Those are some cool pics and amazing hair everywhere. I remember
a longhair gathering I went to in Montreal 8 years ago and we did a walking tour of Montreal (a beautiful city) and the heads turned and looks we got, it was great fun. Of the posters on the board today I believe Georges and John B are the only ones who were there. John, Georges are you remembering??
I look forward to my vacation in California in April and meeting as many of you as can come out. we'll be there Monday evening, April
14th all day Tues, Wed, and we leave on Thursday. I'll post more on this later.
Really good pics thanks for sharing.
Kevin
I'm looking forward to meeting the new President. :-)
Once a meet is settled I'll go poke the board irregulars by email to make sure they hear of the meet.
Thank you Elizabeth I'll get details up as soon as possible so all have plenty of lead time.
Take Care
Kevin
Thank you for going to all that work for us, Rick. Seeing those pictures makes me relive the fun of that day. Capturing the reactions of others really helped demonstrate the feel of our meet, it was quite an unusual sight even for SF. I'm so glad I got to be a part of it.
Elizabeth
Rick,
Thanks for posting the pics from the San Francisco long hair meet. It was really nice to be welcomed to the area based solely on the MLHH and a few advance e-mails. I certainly didn't have the longest hair, but I did have the best nose-ear chains:)
LMD
I certainly didn't have the longest hair, but I did have the best nose-ear chains:)
Actually in one sense you did have the longest hair. Your facial hair was by far the longest of anyone there. My facial hair only grows to a maximum of 12 inches. Yours is at least 18 inches, and probably more.
I wish my beard would grow to 18 inches.
Scott
And my BEARD was the thickest of anyone's - it had the largest quantity of hair! But my mane was pitiful next to THAT crowd!
Bill
Thanks, and a question: What's up with the "More Pics" button at the bottom? It doesn't work. I use IE7.
Good question. Not real sure. I'm using Firefox and it works fine. I opened up IE [I've got IE6.0.29] and the link doesn't work for me either. Checking it out now...
--Rick
Try it now, Steve. I redid some code...
--Rick
It works fine now, Rick. I was able to see page 2 before you fixed it, actually. (I changed it at the top of the page from 1.html to 2.html) I can often decipher html code, but typing it out right is a different story. I can do simple stuff like italics or bold. Thanks for the great photos. Hope to see you at the next meet.
