Hey folks!,
Is it safe to wear a ponytail while your hair is drying? Cuz damp hair is realy annoying, weting your cloth, gets me cold ect.
I don't see any reason why it would hurt.
But a ponytail will leave all the hair hanging wet on your neck and back! I always make a bun after a shower, otherwise I'd get a nice strip of wet garment down my back, kinda annoying! and my wife doean't like somuch to have me dripping all around the house!
For me, ponytails take longer to dry, braids and buns even more. Wet hair is more fragile, so if you DO put it up, be very gentle.
I put mine up when it's damp sometimes and it's still there.
Hasn't all fallen out. So should be fine.

I often keep the ponytail tied up for washing, but then undo it for drying, since it can take much longer for it to dry while tied. But keeping it tied shouldn't particularly hurt anything.
Hey Charles,
I used to do that same thing by tailing it after the shower (in a very loose ponytail; tied it below the shoulders). My only complaint of that was that my hair would have a bump in it after i took the tie out which looked stupid. What I do now that works is to gently blot the hair with a towel, then (also gently) squeeze a towel around the length to absorb the excess water. Then i comb it back as if I was tailing it. This usually makes it dry enough to not leave a wet mark on my shirt and is rather comfortable as well.
