Had something odd happen. Was on Victor's home page, went to
click on this board, the next thing I knew I an ad came up.
Anyone else experience this?
Yep! Every once in a while an ad pops up where it shouldn't. However I have only experienced this using Netscape. Never with IE. I also use both Macs and PCs - These random ads seem to appear mostly when usig Netscape on a PC.
If it is a "browser" thing - I think it is terrible.
BTW - HAPPY NEW YEAR to all.
I'm using Netscape® Communicator 4.7 on my PowerMac and I never noticed it, even when I go directly to http://the-light.com/

I'm using Netscape 4.7 (outlook died last year).
I hate ads, I'll accept ads when these advertisers start paying
something towards my internet access. Right now they pay
$0.00 towards my internet access, do I want to see zero of their ads.
Have never noticed a pop up on this board, but do a google search for "popup stopper" or go to www.panicware.com and download their program - it does eliminate the ads and auto pop ups around the net!
