Hello all, I hope you're having a great morning. Bill proposed we took pictures of our first days of Spring, so here is Minnesota's second day of Spring...haha, Enjoy! By the way, these pictures are taken of my backyard off of my deck, I took them 30 minutes ago :)
That was our Spring, in the North! :) I hope you enjoyed seeing our version.

Wow mate, its nice to have alot of trees around your house i live in a detached house and have some trees/bushes but not that much ;o, its gotta be creepy in the night though lol.
Creepy? Nah, I absolutely love the woods! Anytime of the day.
Now that's the land I love... just in the summertime. ;) Seriously, great pics, Hegg. You're quite lucky to be up there. Hope all is well in the frozen north. =)
-James
Thanks, James! I like it regardless of the weather ;) I am grateful to be here. Thanks again for your comments.
Hegg, Very similar to Michigan's spring!
peace, jonalbear
So I have heard, ;)
That's a pretty Black Metal spring if I do say so myself...
Haha! yes indeed!
I notice a good stack of firewood....hope you have a roaring fire to go with your Springtime Weather!! Lovely photos though. Snow is beautiful (to look at....HA!). We in the desert usually keep our snow on the mountain tops to be viewed from afar...
Years ago when I moved from Omaha to Las Vegas, I brought my snow shovel, planted it upside down in my Dad's rock garden with a thermometer on the blade......that way when it read 130 degrees, I could say; "Well, at least I am not shoveling it !" HA!
Thanks for sharing and Keep Warm.
Walter...(snow)White...Tail
That firewood stack shrunk 1/3, it's been a really cold winter. Thanks :) I used to live in New Mexico and know exactly what you're talking about, I would love to go to the mountains and camp. 130? Sheesh! That is brutal hot weather.
Thanks for your reply and comments!
Yeah, we keep our snow up in the Sierra usually, where God intended for it to stay. Once in a while we'll get snow on the mountaintops down here by the coast, and every family with a four year old heads for the hills.
When we moved here from Illinois, our friends there who helped us load the truck grabbed our snow shovel and put it in as the last thing packed. We all laughed. However, we've actually found it useful out here! We use it as a dustpan to pick up leaves on the sidewalk, and it also is handy for scooting dog poop off the sidewalk and into the gutter.
What we have NOT used are the two foot long sticks with plastic windshield scrapers on the ends of them that the guys also made sure we packed.
130 degrees? Yikes! We seldom see it top 80 here. (54 and 27, respectively, for the centigrade crowd)
Bill
Great pics, Hegg! One thing about early spring is we get more diverse and beautiful photos than we can get at any other time of year!
Bill
Thanks, Bill! Indeed, I love to see pictures of the first coming of spring.
Hi Hegg,
Great pics there.
We've not even had any snow this winter mind you the weather forecast over this Easter weekend is threating snow and you never know. So I'm sorry I can't take and good snaps of snow. It's jus cold here windy and raining.
It's always lovely to see when we have a certain date in the calendar and people like to post pics marking the event!
Cheers,
John.
Hey John, I hope you see some snow over the weekend!
Thanks for you comments!
I should know, I don't think i ever saw proper snow during my pre teen years, and i probably wont in the teen either...
Its hard to be English
(by the way, last time i put english on a message board, i got flamed for days, my heart nearly skipped a beat when i typed that then.
please done take it the wrong way :))
You English looks fine to me mate and ignore those flamers.
Cheers,
John.B
As you can see wet!
Cheers,

And, it seems, no pigeons! Are they, as the saying goes, smart enough to come in out of the rain?
Bill
Well almost Bill alot of then have been culled! Too many in one place for Mayor Livingstone to care for.
Cheers,
John.B
Ha, you're lucky though, I have not seen rain in months and miss it!
Hey, that's something that you (in Minnesota) and White Tail (in Death Valley) have in common!
Yet, your weather and his could not be more different.
Bill
Hi Hegg,
YIKES!!! That is something we have seen far too much of these days, in this winter, and now spring of 2008. But those are wonderful pictures, and hopefully, it will all melt soon. We have had our share of snow in Halifax too.
Take care,
David
Great pics, Hegg. Reminds me of growing up in Michigan. I'm glad I don't have to shovel the weather now!
-Rick
That looks gorgeous Hegg, and so wild - love it, great pictures, thanks for posting them.
You sure have a beautiful outlook from your home.
Cheers, Dave
Nice snow there, I love snow but I'm ready for summer. It finally stopped snowing here and spring is already here.
Saw that kind of Winter over 1/2 of my life back in CT. Guess I'll gladly take what I have now living in the Pacific Northwest.
Ah..........and to think. What comes down here in the Winter doesn't have to be shoveled.
I hear the Minn. gets really nasty Winters.
Thanks for all of your comments! Have a great weekend everybody.
for me. I am so glad I live near the west coast of California. I ride a bicycle to stay fit which would be impossible in snow. To get around, and stay fit, I guess cross country skiing would work though.

We got snow here (N. IL) today so it looks similar outside here to what you have. This time of year it usually doesn't last very long though. At around noon I looked outside and it was coming down so heavily that you couldn't see very well; everything was kind of cloudy white. I like it when I know that it won't last and winter is almost over. I discovered the secret to enjoying winter is to find something to do that you enjoy and can only do in winter.
That's cool! You have woods in your back yard. I think its
important to have some nature around. To go with naturaly long
hair of course.
Hegg,
That reminds me of Illinois. I remember growing up to winters just like that. The best being when school was closed. :-)
I don't get snow like this here on the east coast. A dusting if were lucky.
Mike
