Hello Everyone,
I have worked in a bike messenger service in the 1990's, and ran across a lot of other guys from other companies, who mostly enforced uniforms, but not hair length. However there was one company that stood out, that is UPS, where its drivers all had crewcuts like in the army, and kept an obsessively high standard for their image.
Recently, a friend sent me a link to the UPS site showing a guy with mid-length hair (to my standard), and this guy is also seen in UPS commercials as well. Does that mean that hair standards are now somewhat relaxed in this company?
Is the long-haired guy a well known actor or singer that I may not know?
Enquiring minds want to know.
Have a good day,
Georges in Montreal.
UPS uses long-haired guy for marketing its services.
Good call-his name is Andy Akula and he is actually the marketing director who came up with the UPS promo. You're right he doesn't represent UPS dress standards but maybe times are a changin' lol
