Hello all,
Today I had my hair down and my mother had said to me "Cut your hair, you look like an Indian!". Indian's, both female and male, have substantially long hair (seen in the picture). Is it a milestone when something like that is said to you? It feels like I am being seen as a longhair finally, and it's a fantastic feeling.
Also, my 20th month of growth is coming up with no trims whatsoever. I think I'll post another update on my two year mark, in 4 months.
Thank you for your invaluable support
I think it's a compliment. The Native American people were very generous spiritual and loving people.
My mother refers to me as "Sir Viking" now, because of how long my hair has gotten.
I find it pretty kvlt.
I've had several comments about Native American features since my hair has gotten longer; never had them before. So I would say yes.
It could be a compliment depending on how you take it (i personally don't use "indian", but whatever). if you think it is a compliment, then just assume it is. i know many native americans who have long hair, like my friend jeff. he recently had a foot of hair cut off...and it is still longer than mine (and mine is halfway down my back).
Ah yes, people trying to make non-complimentary comments about hair just keep demonstrating the historical and cultural significance AND acceptance that long hair has known......the people making the comments just don't realize it as they've been indoctrinated in a current culture which has, in the recent past (only a better part of a century), encouraged people to continually alter the natural process of hair growth (keep cutting it).
