I think peoples opinion of me has moved up somewhat. It seems to me to be only recently I have moved out from looking like a beatle, and i finally have some length.
All my family was commmenting on my hair when i went to a mothers day do, and the only one who said anything bad was my auntie, who when she thought i wasnt looking. Said i looked like a girl (which is laughable, she has really short hair)
My dad asked me if i was trying to look like Jim Carrey last week.
I was chewing on the ends of a piece of hair absent mindedly in maths (yes, i can finally do that just about)and the girl sat next to me was like "oh my god, how long is your hair"
It seems to me that the preconception in my school, is hair more than a few inches is super long, but it makes me feel good none the less.
Finally, A girl in science, rather arkwardly said that my hair looked nicer than a lot of peoples, because i part it to the side, and some people cant do that(??, news to me)
Overall, i've been feeling very good this week, and i do seem to have had a growth spurt if there is such a thing.
Dont Chew your hair beanz your teeth can act like a scissors. And dont worry about being mistaken for a girl, i was mistaken for a girl once by actual girls and ime 6ft.2 lol.
I only recently (like a few days ago) noticed i could do that, so i'm not in a habit yet.
Not much problem for being mistaken yet, but people definately acknowledge me
Sometimes growing long hair can be a lonely and defiant journey for a man. I am glad that you are finding support and reassurance along your path. Good for you!

Thanks, I have had a pretty easy time of it so far
Positive comments always make your day I'm sure. It's nice that
your school is mellow about it and your not having to deal with
idiots like we read about on here.
Glad your enjoying the longhair journey.
Kevin
There are the few shouts of mophead, but nothign like i expected.
I am enjoying it a lot now
Thanks
Hahaha Dude that Chick just was diggin on you man. She wanted to say something to you, thus the side part comment. Is she cute? b If you like her, I think she might just be accessable to you.
Cheers
Todd
I doubt it, for a lot of reasons
Sounds like you're having fun. It's great to get compliments. I wonder how your auntie would react if you told her to grow her hair cos she looked like a bloke? Probably wouldn't go down too well and no doubt your mum would give you a telling off for saying it.
As one of the other guys said, don't chew your hair. It's not good for it and it's a difficult habit to get out of once you start.
Anyway, have fun. You'll soon be enjoying the wind blowing through it.
Its been great recently, i only hope it continues
thanks
I remember the good 'ol days of people nagging on me to cut my hair.
It seems everyone gets used to things like hair after a while...
Good to hear Beanz, you need days and weeks like that to make the journey all the more pleasurable.
Cheers Dave
