Does anyone else find that when you try to go without washing your hair for a few days, there is a relatively short time period, maybe 4-8 hours, during which you find your hair to be in optimal balance between having enough natural oil and too much oil, regardless of whether you used conditioner when washing last??? Granted there must be other factors besides oil build up, but I wish the balanced period would last longer...
Mine usually las about a day. But yes, the day aftr I wash it's perfect!
preaching to the choir. mine usually lasts 1-2 days without a good wash (i found this out while playing some Military Simulation airsoft in alberta a few weeks back. it was 3 days long with no breaks...had to sleep in the woods without a tent. it was pretty fun though), and during this time my hair is perfect. i feel like cinderella...in a totally heterosexual way of course (LOL).
Does wash mean double shampoo?
I do not use shampoo more than twice a month, alternatively shampooing with conditioner.
Occasionally a detergent scrub may be useful, but use them sparingly.
Cal.
...just shampoo and condition. I've tried conditioner only and just water, but with both my hair feels like it has too much oil within about half a day...
Agreed!
My max is 2-3 days tops. I only started shampooing my hair less often within the past 6 months or so and it was a difficult change. I try to shampoo on the days I go to the gym (AFTERWARDS of course) because I feel it is most necessary then hehe. Unfortunatley due to a busy schedule I sometimes have to wash it 2 days in a row if those are two of the days I have free to workout, which throws my whole hair regime off! I should add that I do condition every day which mentally makes me feel like I washed it ;)
