Today was really hard at work for me since I had about four people make some very negative comments about the length of my hair. I really don't need to get into detail about these jerks since it's the same old story one guy makes fun of other guy for being different.
At one point do to what one of the people said to me, I felt bad about my hair all day kept on looking in the mirror to make sure it didn't look bad. Basically just kicked myself and was worried about my looks all day long.
But when I got home I logged on the internet and the first thing I did was check MLHH and hearing the advice and other people just being supportive really turned my day around.
And that is what my post is about, I want to take a chance to thank you all for making me feel that it's alright to do what I want with my hair (in this case grow it out) and the support and the general happy vibe I get from this room give me hope for the human race.
So I just wanted to say thanks for making my day better.

We're glad to help. Does it just amaze you sometimes how stupid
people are. How they get wound up about the dumbest things.
You could always say "is my hair that big a deal to you as in is that the most important thing in your life you have to worry about......my hair? Lucky you as some people actually have real problems" then follow it with "get a life"
Of course you can dress it up or down to suit the situation.

Thanks, and to tell you the truth after four years in the retail end of work the amazement of how stupid people has faded. LOL I currently get amazed by people who are nice and curtious at the store I work at.

So far I would have to say this is the friendliest place on the internet :-) It's almost home way from home...
Thats a nice message Capresono, we have all at one point or another had people give us grief, but often its envy of the fact that we a) still have the genes to grow our hair and b) we have the sort of lifestyle that allows us to.
Most longhairs seem to be pretty happy and positive people too which possibly annoys the negative lemmings that we encounter every day.

I guess most of the people by me would be choice b). Most of them are very business dressed to impress kind of people due to their jobs. Anyways I know I didn't have to answer it but after take college tests I see a) b) and c) I am compelled to answer the question. LOL

Second, it's funny that you mentioned the Allman Brothers one of my good friends is a big fan of. I think she at point told me to listen to Revival do to this post I think I might go out and do so now.

Very Cool "J" I don't know where you live but my Allman Brothers Tribute Brothers of the Road performs in The NY metro area we perform that song come and see us if you are in the area
