I've a few days late this month, but there's my 11 month update! Almost a year.

Yes and no. No none of it is dye, but as far as I can tell, the hair as it originally grows near the root is a dark brown/red, but about two inches or so down, on all my "canopy" hair, the hair to the outside, it all becomes progressively lighter the older it is. As far as I can discern, this is due to the sun lightening the hairs over time, along with a great many relatives with very rich, very red hair, so you mix the two and there you go! I do really like the color, although I do wish it was a bit more consistent, because it does look like it's dyed, which, it's not.

Excellent update Austin. Your hair has a wave to it which can get
on your nerves when your growing it but will look cool when its'really long.

Yes, the wave has been somewhat irritating, but the ever increasing legnth makes it a lot more manageable, and it's growing on me. ;)

Congratulations on reaching 11 months of growth, and in one more month you will be celebrating a full year, a true milestone. Your hair is in excellent condition with lots of shine and awesome colour, and you have come a long ways. I am not sure if you have any particular goal length in mind, but i hope you grow it a lot longer!

Hey Austin cool hair!!!!!! You've got to be proud of what you achieved in less than a year.I can't get over how reddish your hair appears to be.Is that your natural colour?Its rare to see longhaired guys with hair of that shade.Anyway from now on you should just let it continue to grow and avoid the trims:)Well done!

Yes, that is absolutely my natural colour, although since it was shot in the sun that might make it appear slightly redder than usual, but my hair naturally grows a deep red brown which the sun has little problem changing to deep red over time it seems.

Yes, it's totally my natural color, with a bit of help from the sun for the ever reddening highlights. I don't know how it'll look in the future, but at the moment, I love it!

I just have to throw in with the others, that now only is your length coming along nicely, but that layered color is just fantastic....thanks for the explanation that it is natural, I would have thought it was coloring growing out. (Not that there is anything wrong with guys coloring their hair.
