Hey everyone
I usually wash my hair twice a week, and if everything goes well then I manage to wash it on Thursday & Sunday mornings (with shampoo and conditioner).
My hair is quite curly so everyday of the week it looks different. I'm still at (nearly) 9 months of growth haha so I'm in a really bad awkward stage; on windy days or after completely finger-combing my hair becomes an afro. I usually go out in public with hats on, and I'm used to the afro, but when I would have just washed it and let it air-dry, it really compresses!
Lol, it looks like I'm 3 or 4 months behind where I really am! I like it after it washes because it removes nearly all the frizz, but it curls up so much that it looks too short (in my opinion) :/. And it takes even up to 5 hours to air-dry, even though its so short! But after washing, this is great for hiding length.
Here's a pic if anyone wants to see (& laugh), comparing it with the adjacent photos to it:

No, I did NOT cut my hair recently XP
You'll soon see an update! :)
Take care
Shawn
I see what you mean it is curly but down the road when it's much
longer it'll look very good that way. If it behaves better after
you wash it I would say maybe wash it a bit more often using very
little shampoo. As for it taking 5 hours to dry no worries I just
go out even if my hair is still wet.
Nice update thanks
Kevin
Invest in a good leave-in conditioner, and use it after washing or wetting the hair and comb it down.
It'll slow the compressing and loosen the curl pattern. I do it everyday unless I wear my hair up. I even make my own leave-in out of a mixture of conditioner and water (1/8 conditioner, 7 parts water).
It'll be that way for awhile. I'm predicting yours will look kind of like John Frusciante (RHCP guitarist)once it really takes off. Mine isn't that curly but Herbal Essences "Dangerously Straight" seems to work along with John Frieda "Wake Up" hair relaxing creme to straighten out the few waves. The only way you'll get yours truly straight is to (a.) chemically straighten or (b.) flat iron it.
Hmm
I use Herbal Essences too! But for normal hair :P
I don't really mind it this curly, would just wish it grows faster :). I don't plan on straightening it any time soon..
