I had the twist made in a salon, so that is quite public. Also, I had it done for a little christmas party where I also wore a black suit. Men didn't comment it at all (they must have become used to my hair and styles). Women smiled or complimented me about my hair. No big deal anymore. A neighbour girl a bit younger than I was quite impressed about my hairdo. Many female co-workers I didn't know very well were curious about who did my hair and told me about their past hairstyles. Ladies in the salon were smiling a lot...
Have you thought about the cut I see all the time on TV
where the front hairs are cut in a tapered fashion. Apparently
a very feminine cut you could wear all the time. It does
look great on the ladies. I am not sure what its called.
By the way, the do's look like fun, wish I had enough hair
for them. I do enjoy putting mine in pig tails and braids.
