This state I live in is without prediction. Took a trip to the beach yesterday and needed my warmest Winter Coat. And of all things, driving over the Pacific Mountain Range was met with a whole lot of snow! Up until now we had been ahead of schedual by 1 month and all had been feeling like early Summer. Global Warming? Oh yes, the beach. Cannon Beach Oregon.
Hi Justin,
I am amazed to hear that it is so cold out your way, in a part of the world where snow is such a rarity! It seems that there is more cold weather everywhere, especially here on the East Coast! Hopefully, spring will arrive soon! That is a great picture, regardless of the weather and heavy parka, and fabulous ponytail too!
Take care,
David
Thanks so much for the compliment David about my hair. It is currently waist length but hardly looks so flung over my shoulder with some hung-up inside that winter coat.
all the best-

Hi Justin,
Always great to see a picture of you and it looks very cold there on that windswept beach. I'm sure Oregen will warm up soon. I do like your spring vernal update...:-)
Cheers,
John.B
Hey John
Thanks for posting to my beach photo. Much appreciated. And yes, it WILL warm up here..........the question is when? When the "cave" atop the mountain range is not snowed-in I will know we have gotten through the worst.
Take care-
Justin~
We went to the beach today too, and it was warm and sunny - t-shirts all round, hopefully spring has sprung.
Great picture there Justin, we don't get to see you too often.
cheers
Dave
LUCKY!
Thanks Dave. Indeed, photos of myself are a bid on the rare side. And at that "Medium Rare." LOL
Justin~
Despite how unusually cold it was, once off the beach and on to the little towns street of gift shops etc., flowers had still gone undamaged. But I was still frozen! :-0
Great pics, Justin! Maybe I'll get up to the Oregon coast sometime this year!
Bill
Hey Bill
Glad you liked the pics. I have seen your coastline in a limited area from Pescadero down to Montorey Bay and it is beautiful, but in a different way all to its own. I remember seeing Pumpkins in the Winter growing right next to the ocean. I was amazed!
The coast up this way has a dramatic quality to it and the upper coastline of the state is indeed one of the most photographed in the world. It is also considered one of the most dangerous areas of all for boats.
all the best-
Justin~
Hi Justin now thats some crazy beachwear!LOL.Where is the sun, beach umbrellas, volleyball game, and the cold beers!Ah thats OK as you are there with your awesome mane so who needs all that other nonsense:)Well don't feel too bad as its been cold and sort of windy here in NJ.The one nice thing is the skies are a clear deep blue. The air quality has been quite good.Amazing LOL.Hope you had a great time Justin.Take care my friend.
Mark
Ha Ha Ha Ha ha! What a great sense of humor. Are you trying to kill me with laughter? :-) If I had stayed out on that beach for another 15 minutes I fear I would have been transformed into an ice-cube! :-0
Funny thing Mark: I lived on the East Coast for many years and had to go with the flow and much colder weather than we ever get out here. But once here it is almost as if you lose the ability to be able to cope with the cold and suddenly 32 degrees feels like zero did back in New England.
Take care Mark
All the best-
Justin~
Where I live is right next to the water. Right now it is a
balmy 31 degrees Fahrenheit.
Tonight the low will be in the teens.
The calendar says spring but old man winter refusses to leave.
And here I thought for sure that our winter was long past. Oh well, what does the calendar know? LOL
Cool photo Justin great scenery.
Looks chilly, oh and watch out for sand crabs there everywhere.
Kevin
Thank you Kevin for your very kind compliment. And yes, the scenery out this way is fantastic.
Chilly? You wouldn't have believed it if you came from here. As for the crabs? No worry at all. You must have this area mixed-up with some other place. We have "Sand-Monkeys" instead! (These are like Sea Monkeys but this species can walk on the sand.) LOL
Take care Kevin and a special thank you for all you have been doing as our new President.
Justin~
Lovely photos Justin. Too bad ya couldn't go for a swim seeing that it was too cold.
Hey Chris :-)
Much too cold for a swim and there were probably iceburgs out there. And everyone knows what they can, will and are still doing to ships even to this day. Titanic was not the only to run into those. Speaking of which: I just ran into one today. It was located in the freezer! LOL
Take care Chris-
Justin~
for going to the beach. It looks like it was raining recently. The sand is wet and it is not shoreline sand. There are lots of storm clouds around too. Must have been windy too. Keep warm, summer is coming.
Scott
Sure was cold Scott, windy and it rained not too hard on and off. Looking east away from the sea the Mountain range could be seen covered with snow. I almost didn't make it back driving through that stuff.
