Twenty seven months into it; one trim along the way (almost 2" in the back); and heading for Christmas 2008 to see where I am at.
If you got to get old, you might as well have fun doing it!
Geez, these pics were supposed to be small!
If you're old, I'm ancient!
Nice hair, though.
Thanks for the comment. There's a mighty fine line between old and ancient, and I'm not sure when I'm going to trip over it.
Hi George,
What a great update, your hair sure grows fast, and you should be able to grow it to any length you wish, due to the fact that you have no recession or MPB issues to worry about at all. Not bad at all for someone only 8 months my "junior"!
Take care,
David
Thanks Pops!
It seems to grow fast at times, when it's not standing still!
I do have a some recession at the temples, it is still thick enough to cover those spots
Greetings George! Great update and great attitude. Keep it growing!
Cheers,
max
Thanks Max; attitude is a big part of it these days! Appreciate the comments.
looks great man! really good lenth and looks healthy bro keep it up!
Yea, it's finally starting to get there; I feel like I have long hair now! And a great feeling it is! Thanks.
Nice update, it's great your growing your hair out at an older age. While you can you should enjoy it, let's see what christmas will bring.
Thanks; I'm trying to get it long before the walker and the wheelchair days hit!
No matter how old you are you gotta' have fun!
"...If you got to get old, you might as well have fun doing it!..."
Lookin' Good George...
Thanks for the update and the uplift !
Walter
Yea, and the older I get the more I keep convincing myself of that!
Thanks, Walter!
WOW! 27 months and it's gone by so fast, looks good as well.
I agree growing old and having fun at it is the way to go.
Keep the fun going and the hair growing.
Kevin
Yea, now I can say it has gone by fast. There were some awful long days in there, though!
Thanks, Kevin!
Good stuff, George! As it is is comfortable onto your shoulders, do you find your self doing hair flicks to keep it on the back side of the shoulder? (Mine doesn't hang there, being curled up and held above the shoulders still.)
Shawn (M)r.Crow
Thanks Shawn, and yes, I do find myself moving it around now, when it isn't doing it by itself!
And those curls will be impressive when they pass shoulder length. I have seen a couple of ladies with gorgeous long curly hair that I could only dream of.
Hi George the hair looks GREAT!! I can't remember when the last time you posted a fresh pic but this one is awesome. It really shows off the quality of your hair and the length achieved to date. And yes I also agree that since we all eventually get older at least we can have fun being a longhair.Great work my friend and can't wait till Christmas '08:)See ya soon
Mark
Thanks Mark; I don't update often, as it doesn't change that much. I try to update once a quarter now. And yep, we gotta have fun!
Looking good there Big George!
Keep it growin' n flowin'
peace, jonalbear
Thanks Jonalbear; I'm definitely working on it!
Laissez les bons temps rouler!!!!
Glad to see your update and looks like you have a good head of healthy hair to work with, ever longing day by day.
I know I've seen that somewhere before!
Thanks for the comments!
Your hair is looking great, George. Considering a 2 inch trim, you appear to be on target on length. Due to being big and tall your hair has the illusion of not appearing as long. (If you are 6'6" tall with 18 inches of hair, it will look shorter that if you are 5'6" tall with 18 inches of hair. This is very noticable when you are seen from the back.) For this reason I focus on hair rather than height when evaluating hair length. Again, your hair length is on target for 23 months of growth. (27 minus 4 months of growth due to 2 inch trim.) When it comes to growing long high quality hair, Native American ancestory helps a lot. Your hair will probably grow to your waist if given the chance to do so. If you are 6'6" tall that would be about 26" of hair.
Scott
Thanks Scott! I'm not quite that tall, but I make up for it in width! Plus not having a neck makes it seem a touch longer also!
Hair is looking great! Getting nice and long. :-)
Yea, it's beginning to get there, and it feels like it's beginning to get there! Thanks for the comment!
Lookin great there George! Creeping down to mid-back now, wish my own hair would've been as straight:)
Simon
Thanks Simon, and slowly it is! We all wish for what we don't have; I would like to have a bit more wave or curl in it. But no complaints!
Your hair looks awesome, Big George. Youth really IS just a state of mind!
--Val
Thanks! And yes, I keep trying to convince my self of that every time my body tries to prove otherwise!
Looks great!
The world needs more (old) longhaired farts!
Thanks, I agree. One by one!
