hey everyone!
Here's my 9 month update.
My hair grew 1cm only in the last month. Not much :/
I was wondering if there are any things besides genetics that can affect hair growth? I know that Winter and Summer have different growth rates.. but could e.g. stress or such hinder growth?
My hair's 12.5cm (4.84 inches) long.
This is what I look like on a regular day, without hair products or hats on :P.
Just thought I'd show my progress.

...you are measuring it stretched out right?
AT your length, you're not gonna see growth for a while. You have to stretch the curl for an accurate measurement. Until they gain weight, at least.
Forgot to mention, it looks good! : D
That's quite some lenght you've got there.
Respect for growing your hair out, I think it's very hard with curly hair like you.

With curly hair like yours it makes the awkward stage more
interesting and in some cases more annoying. I think it looks
cool though. You do have a lot of length it's just all wound up.
Chris H has some tight curls but his relaxed as it got long. Dig
around for his last update and you'll see.

You do have a slight bit less curl, but, if possible, more volume. Your hair really sits on top (at least for now). You will find, Shawn, that the hair, when it starts weighing itself down past your ears, will look like the statues of ancient Greece. A real Adonis look. I think you will like it. Your progress is great and I think your hair looks great now - full of character - and will look great long.

As much as I would like to, I cannot see your photo, either in your original post, or by following you suggestion of "right click, view photo". None of this works, but I am sure your hair looks great, and be sure to keep it growing!
