Just thought i'd pop by and post an update. I've recently reached a benchmark of my hair going past my nipples. ^_^
Though, it's starting to get a little longer than i think i want. I'm going to get it trimmed back a bit sometime this week, see if i like it better shorter, probobly a little past my shoulders.
It seems like it'd be better for me, plus if i don't like it, hair grows back. I'm still at the young age of 16. Plenty of time for hair-growing. =3
You have cool hair man! Just an idea but if you trimmed to make
your hair even and then if you want it shorter you could have
more cut. Might be easier than cutting and then growing back.
But of course its your hair.
I'm not sure what you're saying, but it sounds pretty much like what i planned on doing anyway, for the same reasons.
What I was trying to say is don't cut it short the first time.
Cut a little bit and wait and see if you like it then you could
always cut more later if you want it shorter. That would be
better than cutting way short the first time and then having to
wait months or years to grow it back.
Ah, yes. That's kinda what I had planned on doing. I definitely don't want to cut TOO much off.
Hi Andrew, My hair is about the same length. Im going on the nipples asessment because I cant really see anything in that picture.
Why do you feel you need to cut your hair? Is it peer pressure? Do you feel you are not as accepted as some of the other kids? If you like your hair long dont worry about anybody else. Stand on your convictions and you will feel better about yourself in the long run.

Oh, i don't really feel like I need to cut my hair. It's none of that, i don't particular care how other people really see me. I really like long hair, but i just feel like it might be starting to get a little TOO long for what i want.
So i'm going to get it a little shorter and see what i think about it, and go from there.
I appreciate you're encouragment otherwise, though.
Darn those cell phones. They just can't do justice in getting better photos. Oh well, that is what so many are using these days and all they have. Not your fault that the photo is a bit hard to see.
Your long hair looks superb to me where it is now. But at your age (and I can even remember myself) a little change of mind quite often enters into the picture. (I know, bad pun.) LOL But as you say, you can always grow it back. And what you speak of is hardly even remotely near a buzz cut. No way.
Actually, i took this on a pretty nice laptop camera. It's only blurry because since the camera is attached to the laptop, i had to attempt balancing it one handed, fully extended, to take the photo. A little shakey. ^_^;
And definitely, no buzz cuts. The very thought makes me cringe. D:
You're 16 and you have hair that long? Wow... I wish I had started going for long hair at that age. Awesome progress, Andrew, and keep it growing. Looks great! =)
-James
Thanks, James.
I have been a longhair for nearly as long as i can remember, and likely always will be.
Hi Andrew,
Thanks for posting an amazing update and it's certainly a great milestone to reach nipple length and for your age as well. Like you say have plenty of "hair farming" years ahead of you and you should be very proud of the length you have achieved. From the picture the length suits but if you prefer more shoulder length so fine and you can always grow it longer again.
I remember the day mine got to nipple length and I was comfortable with the length and I've continued to let it grow. All I will say is before you do anything, make sure you have a good TRUSTY stylist that you know even before anything done as we've heard a few horror stories before.
Such a great achievment so far and a great inspiration to others and just wish I had you length of hair at your age and do keep it growing.
Cheers,
John.B
Thank-you, john. =)
I have to agree, i have heard several horror stories myself, so that is by far my number one concearn. I can only trust my mother in saying ours is trustworthy.
I can't remember anyone else that has cut my hair, since it has been so long, so she's all i CAN trust in. >_>;
Hi Andrew,
For sure we are right to have concerns about people that we don't implicity trust. I've have the same stylist for many years bothg through short and longhair and is one of the few I would trust and of course one of our board community Bruce Gallagher in MA.
Well it's good to know that you have your mother is trustworthy and are you saying that you mother has always cut your hair for your in the past. As I said before I would hate to see such an inspitational mane either cut badly just for the sake of it. After all were all here to encourage to keep it growing and keeping it long.
So do as you think best and as I will always say keep it growing.
Cheers,
John.B
that is great bro! i cant wait for mine to be that long! keep it up
WOW super job!! Keep it up your doing great!
Trust me, if I had hair that long (especially at your age) I'd have grown it longer. But again, its your hair. Looks great :-)
I will take some tips from when I grow out my hair :-D
Hi Andrew,
Your hair looks awesome, and is thick and healthy. The decision to trim has to be up to you, and you really want a length that you are happy with!
Take care,
David
Hi Andrew
Your hair looks outstanding even though the pic is a bit grainy but that goes to show how fabulous your hair is even with the pic.I like the length you've achieved but why not try it longer as I think that would be easy for your to obtain.Anyway thanks for posting and hope to see more of you here.Take care
Mark
Cool Update Andrew and although it looks good now if you fancy
it at shoulder length or just past then go for it. However be ware of stylists, maybe when you go for the trim have them take off just two or three inches then you can always go back for another one if you want.
Like you said hair grows back.
Kevin
You've got some nice hair there from what I can see in the picture.
It's your own choice if you want to trim, good that you don't take of to much at one time.
