For 3 weeks I've been wanting to cut off the damaged ends of my hair. Today I snipped off a very small amount, no more than 0.5 cm, and it has made a huge difference. I don't even notice any difference in the length, but the ends feel and look so much healthier.
I suppose there's no real purpose for this message, but I just wanted to thank you all for being such an inspiration to me. I may have cut my hair long ago if it wasn't for seeing all the beautiful manes around here. I've gotten many comments from people about how guys should have short hair, but I love my long hair and I'm so glad I found this community.
Thank you all very much!
Peter
Good on ya man.

You speak very eloquently, Peter, about the heart & soul of what MLHH is all about!
I wish I had found something like MLHH when I was younger, as all during my teens and into my 20s and even 30s, I felt as if nobody near me would have understood or been supportive of me if I grew my hair past a certain point back then. We are so LUCKY (or, dare I say, "BLESSED!") to have a place like this!
Often it's easy to get all caught up in worrying about when a longhair here decides to cut his mane; but, this board is not about "selling" the idea of long hair on men, or convincing someone that they "shouldn't" cut --- it's about supporting those of us who want to grow and/or keep it long, and supporting all men in their individual right to choose what we each naturally want for our own greatest happiness... So, to me, you sound like one happy camper and "success story", thanks to the help that MLHH provides!
Thanks for your wonderful post here, --- it made my day just reading it!!!

On the contrary Peter. There is deffinatly a purpose to your message. There are guys like me who have been contemplating snipping the ends for a long time but are scissor shy. Hearing a guy like you say that you did it and it was a positive experience and you didn't even notice much of a difference, is very important to a guy like me.Yours just might be the post that tips the scale in favor of me going for the trim.
Thanks'
