Hey all,
I have curly hair, which I'm growing. Currently 4 months into it. Was wondering if you are supposed to get the neck/sides get cleaned up regularly? I've more hair at the back of my neck than usual people.
Cheers for the advice!
Mark.
It is a matter of opinion, Mark.
Some get the fuzzy neck hairs 'cleaned up' but I think it is a hassle to do so.
Besides, once the hair is long enough, one would only really see it if you had your hair pulled back - something you should be able to do by Christmas.
I have really curly hair, too, and decided I wouldn't become a slave to shaving the neck hairs - one doesn't see most long-hairs (and by most, I mean women) 'cleaning it up' and it looks (as naturally it should) like part of their long hair. Fret not, it is only because of our habitual 'need' to get regular haircuts as practicing shorthairs that it is even a concern.
Welcome aboard!
Try to avoid harsh shampoos or shampooing more than once a week.
Condition every time you wet your hair, if possible.
And BE GENTLE with your hair.
Stick it out! You'll appreciate the results, even if the length seems to take forever to achieve.
Cheers!

Welcome to the board!
When I was at 3 months of growth I cut my neck hairs because it did't look very good at that time. Right now I'm at 7 months and let my neck hairs grow, my hair in the back is covering it right now so no need to cut it.

That is true if you never intend to pull your hair back into a pony tail. For those of us who have to do that at times , the aforementioned fuzzy monster can look kind of scary

I have lots of neck hairs too. Unfortunately they continue to my back hairs.
I decided to trim them back the my beard trimmer because when I put my hair in a tail they usually were pulling and uncomfortable for me. Plus, most of them DIDN'T go into the tail and just looked like I had a fussy monster on the back of my neck.
