Hi all,
I had long hair as a teenager but not had long hair for over 10 years now. I have missed it all the while but I am going to start growing it as of a month ago when it was shaved. The only problem is it has got kinda thin on top and at the crown. I wan't to grow, but don't wanna look stupid. I mean it's not that bad, but thinner, way thinner. I am 32 by the way.
Anyways, I will post updates :) ( and pix )

by the way, my thinning happened for about 5 years, now it's not falling out anymore, it's just thin.

Hi Jay, If it's any consolation I am 33 and have waist length hair.. I suppose it all depends on genetics as to how your progress will unfold! Good luck and happy growing ;-))

One of the coolest-looking guys I ever saw was completely bald on top; but, what hair he did have, went all the way down to his KNEES!!!
I usually am too shy to speak to total strangers on the street; but, after seeing him, i couldn't help but let him know how much I admired his long hair. He had a fantastic attitude about it, and thanked me for the compliment, --- and encouraged me to grow mine (mine was much shorter at the time)!
It's all about walking, talking and *feeling* CONFIDENT & COMFORTABLE... Just grow it!!!!!

Ken, every time you talk about this guy, I try to imagine what he looked like. I wish you had a picture...
Welcome
Just go for it - and don't start worrying or accidentally convincing yourself that the thinning makes it look wrong.
Self imposed doubts should be your concern - and avoiding them!
Welcome to the board,
Just let it grow and see how it will turn out, even with thin hair you can be a long hair. The story from ken made me think of the violin player from korpiklaani, he is bald on top but has a very long hair in the back.
I'm looking forward to see your update pictures in the future.
