hey all the people here on this board need some encouragement from you all as im getting more and more depressed theses days because of my parents and people that i know they all want me to cut my hair which i really dont want i need your help and support
My parents didn't mind but most of my 'friends' and siblings told me to get a hair cut.....I completely ignored them and they don't tell me to get a hair cut any more
I guess they realised I was serious about growing my hair XD
....So in conclusion, hang in there ;)
He is right. if you react when they prod you they will keep doing it. Ignore them and hope they go away.
You just gotta keep on keepin on man because the Man's gonna come down on you for being free, that's just what the Man's gonna do because that's the Man for ya ya know? Gets lots worse believe me when you get a day job with the Dept. of the Interior but I won't say more LOL!!

Hey man, here is a much easier way for him to respond to all the people putting pressure on him:
Pay them no attention and don't let them know they are getting the best of you. To ignor and NOT try and defend yourself about wanting long hair will leave them no where to go for argument. What a shame some people have little else to do with their life than pick on somebody and tell THEM how their hair should be. Best of luck to you and don't let little minds get you down.

I had the same trouble with my parents who always tried to force me to have a haircut, even when my hair wasn't long in my opinion...
I was trying to resist to their demand to cut my hair, but after a few weeks I gave up and went to the hairdresser.
Each time, I regretted it very badly!
I recommend you to resist to the demand of your parents. They will become used to your long hair after some time. However you will hear comments about your hair for a long time... Just learn to ignore them. Your parents will love you in any case, even if it doesn't seem so right now...

He's not a troll. I have talked to him many times via MSN and he is legit. He's from Pakistan, and his native language is therefore not English. Cut him some slack. Thanks.

I worry way more about the prospect that someone is not a troll and they get put off by people who think they are. We are here to support long haired guys, and if someone fakes a post like that they would be a bit weird but quite harmless.

My parents made me cut my hair. If you have no choice, I would say cut it and then grow it out whenever you can.
I think every longhair needs his hair cut at least once, so he knows how much he loves his locks!
Well i guess thats true, but if you hang in there then they might know how serious you are about it. I dunno i just dont think i could EVER go through the growing process again, but for those who can then that is very impressive.
It's your life and your hair so try to stand your ground.
A lot of people can be ignored when they jell something at you, my parent don't like my hair but they let me grow it so I don't know how to solve that problem.
