  Hi there! Well I've been reading these boards since before I even began to grow by hair around 2004 (well I was trying to grow it but was pressured to cut) and I always thought they were very helpfull and full of friendly people :)

  But anyway my last haircut was somewhere between September and October 2005, which was a quite short shave all around, when I was fifteen. If my maths are correct that's 2 and abit years ago, haha.

  Now unfortunately I don't have a camera, but if I can get my hands on one I'll try and get a picture up.

  Enough rambling from me, my hair is maybe and inch or half an inch below my chest where it's longest and I'm very concerned that it's reached it's limit and isn't gonna grow anymore (I'm even begining to think it's getting shorter as I could have sworn it was longer last month :o). My hair is perfectly straight and not very thick.

  Is there anyone out there who could inform me if I have reason to be concerned?

    I remember feeling that way about my hair at various stages too.. It always passed for me and one day I realized the pain I felt was the result of sitting on my hair! Hope it goes the same for you too ;-))

      Your hair looks great, I only wish I had thicker hair like that, most people tell me my hair will never grow much longer than it is now because my hair just isn't thick enough but I always though it would get at least two or three inches longer that my currrent stage. Hopefully I have another bit of growing to do!

    I don't think you have anything to be WORRIED about, but terminal length does in fact vary from person to person. Some people can grow it like the super long hairs on this board, while the terminal length of others may be MUCH shorter.

    I had a friend that didn't cut his hair for five years, and it stayed right at his shoulders. Granted, his hair was great anyway, but terminal length wasn't all that long for him.

    Anyways, I wouldn't worry about it, and if you are at terminal length, you should be happy you achieved such a difficult goal!!

      Thanks for the reply! This was exactly what I was wondering, whether some peoples could reach terminal even before chest lenght, this has given me more of an optimistic view since I got this far maybe I have another while to go (not that I'm waiting to reach terminal, but I have to be realistic and keep in mind it may not reach the length of others with thicker hair)
