Anybody here a fan of Braveheart?
Such a great movie!
Probably my favorite movie of all time.
In a time where men could where their hair at any length and nobody cared. But anyway to the point, such an inspirational story.

Makes you wonder what kind of Shampoo & Conditioner they may have used back then. ;-)
Frank
Whenever I see movies that take place in times and places without the shampoos and conditioners we have today I always wonder if the long hair of that time would be as soft and neat as it's shown, or if they would have looked more like a bunch of dreads when down.
You don't really have to go back that far to answer that. Even in Victorian times they didn't have anything like those products. Of course, at that time the men tended to have short hair and the women wore theirs up all the time, which does tend to suggest it wasn't easy, but nobody had dreadlocks.
The real question, I suspect, is when did people start combing their hair? I'm not sure, but I think that combs may go back to the stone age?
yup. It pissed down with so much rain they gave up waiting for a good day to film and everyone was soaked most of the time, that's Scotland for you lol. It all came out looking authentic though, most of the guys you see are real Scots, real hair, real men. And if anyone ever says you look like a girl cos you've got long hair just think of these guys (if anyone said that to any of them they'd lose body parts..) the guys look mean, wild and bloody brilliant (but i'm a strange woman with strange tastes so i'm told) Whatsisname, the star, on the other hand wearing a wig, well.. he's not a real Scot is he??? Then again he did ok for what its worth
LOL
