Hello dudes
Thanks to all (Mark, Garth, another Mark, Walter, and all the others who've replied to my first post) for welcoming me in such a great way. It feels like I've come home hahaha. My real name is Wim, I'm 23 years old and I come from Belgium, north west of Europe. So there might be some Celtic, Geramanic or Scandinavian blood in me (explains the blonde hair perhaps). I had my last visit to the hair dresser's around May 2007 and because they always mess it up and cut waaaay too much of your hair, I've decided not to go anymore. The singer (girl) of my band is a hairdresser, so she cuts the tips from time to time.
So I have to post threads regularly for about a month before I can join the club?
Yea I do like (heavy) metal, but it's not only because of that that I let my hair grow, I just like the way it looks and it feels great to have long hair too! Do you guys shave away the hair in the back of your neck? I usually do, cause I think it can get annoying after a while.

Once again, welcome to the hyperboard, and I am delighted you have found us, and thank you for sharing so much of your background with us. I know that there is a period of time before you can be listed in the user's directory ( a month seems about right), but that time should fly by, and in the meantime, all of your posts are definitely welcome!
I know that the decicion to shave the back of the neck is something that some guys choose to do, and some don't. I don't shave the back myself.

I bumped into this website by accident but it's really cool that there are guys out there who care about their hair. Many of my friends have long hair, but none of them are obscessed with it, unlike me, I think I am obscessed with it. That is because I was really frustrated to see all these guys who had long hair and I didn't... But it's never too late I guess. I do regret that I haven't started growing my hair sooner. But I guess the fact that I'm not a teen anymore and I still want to let my hair grow makes me more genuine (?). Anyway, nobody ever motivated me to let my hair grow (at home they were really against it, but now that they see that it's not dirty and that I take good care of it, they leave me more or less alone).
About my name, as I live in Belgium, I speak Flemish/Dutch and Wim is actually the Dutch version of Will(iam) or Billy or whatever. You have it in all the major languages, Gulielmo in Italian, Guillermo in Spanish, Guillaume in French, Wilhelm in German... Anyway, in my country and in the Netherlands, that name is quite common, so not so unique after all... But if I'm the only one with that name on this board then good!
Oh by the way, I like Opeth too very very much and I'm also going to Graspop this year (it will be my 5th time).

I shave the hair on the back of my neck every few months. It makes your hair look much neater when it is in a ponytail.
Yep, that's why I shave the hair in the back of my neck away. I wear my hair in a ponytail often nowadays.
