They're okay. I'm not too fond of longer than shoulder length straight hair on 'feminine' looking guys. Some of the people here have better hair, believe it or not.
I'm the opposite; I think it suits them.
the two extremes; the masculine carved face and the soft somewhat feminine ones seem to suit long hair. XD At least to me.
Yeah, I completely agree. Clearly I'm not one to say long hair is girly by any means, but when you have a thin somewhat feminine look and body type to start with, it doesn't help.
I love that look (I'm a straight girl btw). And if Orlando Bloom's popularity as Legolas is any indication I'm not alone!
But I would hardly say that Orlando has a feminine look or body type. He has a strong, masculine face and an athletic body, not thin indistinct features like some of those models. I agree with Emagdne and Garth that guys with more feminine features generally don't look very good with long hair.

I believe it. When you model you have to let people mess with your hair: blow drying, back combing, flat ironing, tons of mysterious product... basically everything you should not do if you are trying to keep your hair in perfect and pristine condition. And it's even worse during fashion week because your hair gets styled and restyled at every show (and if the hair stylist is having a bad day, WATCH OUT).
They have some great quality hair for sure. It appears most wear it in an all-one-length style that I like.
Thanks for posting these.
Pity. None of them looks terribly much like he is a man, to me. And, to me, they appear to be rather sickly. I kept asking myself: why would I want anything this guy is advertising.

Wasn't this the first video ever on Mtv?
VIDEO KILLED THE RADIO STAR by "The Buggles", was the first music video ever played on MTV.
Here is information on this historic video:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Video_Killed_the_Radio_Star
And here is that video, enjoy.
I am 55 years old and have seen a lot of music history.

Oh, I meant the first video ever on Mtv Europe hehehe
It was. I remember reading an article about it not to long ago.
Well in my opinion, and its just that, I like the look of these guys as the hair and physique look great together.Designer clothes are generally made for very thin people like those pictured.Actually I like some of the clothes from Dior Homme but mostly the jeans. They fit me the best due to me being tall and kind of thin. Most of the mainstream jeans don't fit me well because I need a long inseam along with a small waist size.Anyway I vote thumbs up on these guys hair:)
Mark
Good to see you again Mark :D I'm glad you dig the stuff I post.
Hi Sillage,
Yea I liked the pics but I see there were more who didn't like the really skinny guys.I don't know they seemed fine to me as some had loose fitting clothes making it hard to tell how really thin they actually were.I guess its a good thing they didn't see Heidi Slimane's longhaired male models from his runway presentations. Some of those guys were clearly thin especially wearing his jeans.Interesting post by the way.Take care
Mark
I'm sort of used to it because the anti-skinny backlash is a million times more intense when it comes to female models, but different strokes...
And as for Hedi, the less said the better! :x
Btw, I thought it was funny the way Kris Van Assche used distinctly bigger, older, and sterner looking models for his Dior Homme f/w 08.09 show, like he was trying to put an end to the Hedi Era. RIP I suppose! I thought they looked good even with the hair bands and hammer pants.
What a shame that these young men were told by the modeling industry how they should look to usher-in the styles of "08." And even worse that they sold themselves willingly to do this.
Just Pathetic to see phantom-like spectors as if on a death walk of of the nearly anorexic showing off long hair. And SO unhealthy looking, sad and morbid. A complete opposite look of health, vigor and vitality. Much too close to "Le Tombeau" in looks. They, to my eyes almost don't even look like men. Some sort of something that has been cloned in a test tube perhaps?
The pics conjure-up a verse I remember which shouldn't really even be thought about at their ages: "My days are like an evening shadow, they wither away, they wither away."
Hardly an inspiration for one to get excited about in becoming a long hair.
Actually, I would say this is a good sign.
Usually, fashion shows aren't longhair male friendly.
To see that, that's in style, is rather refreshing.
Granted, that may just be overseas :/
It is just overseas I'm afraid to say. NY fashion week is such a snooze fest to begin with and it always seems like the casting for the menswear shows are very dull.
I personally don't find slender men as off putting or as freakish as you do. For me male beauty has many different faces and body types. To each there own, I suppose.
Why bash people because they don't fit into your ideal man. For a group that wants acceptance, a post like this just shows bias is universal.
Until we stop trying to make people fit into a box that we find comfortable , discrimination will continue.
The fact that long hair is back in the press should make you happy, bu it just never enough.....
sad

i actually like the somewhat emaciated look on men. i don't like super skinny girls, though. it's all about personal taste. just like some people don't like long hair on men at all. but personaly i wouldn't give up my super-skinny long-haired man for anything in the world. :)
and here's another one!!
Now there are some nice sets of teeth!! I'm glad that you've still got a long-haired man of your own, though I wish that you would come around here more often >:[ Diggin' the hats, too.
Hi nic
Ok so be the nice girlfriend and buy him a cool pair of Dior Homme jeans.I know they are expensive but what the hey!LOL.If you drive to Vegas there is a nice Dior store there where you could buy them but bring the credit card.Believe me he'll love you for it:)Take care and welcome back.

You are entitled to your opinion of course and you have a right to be wrong, but it is important that what you wrote be taken as opinion only, especially by you, and not treated as fact.
Not to my taste exactly but some seem to have nice hair.. Not into the "feminine" looking guy fashion but it's different to see the fashion world leaning toward a male with long hair.. As far as having better hair, I probably do, as I don't blow dry it or straighten it, dye it, perm it, fry it or use 20 different chemicals in it.. I've always believed that hair length is a sign of good hair care/health.. I don't know if there is any truth to that but it makes sense to me and works in my favor! ;-)
Tom
Tom, your hair looks really silky and together. Great color too. I don't know if you can see it in the pics, but a lot of these guys have frizzy, broken hair from all the styling damage. It's a good thing the tousled, natural look is in, otherwise these models would be in trouble. :P
Btw, I do like messy hair when it's done right but it's a hard look to pull off. The healthy, gently groomed look that's popular on here is easier to wear and it never looks wrong. Not too fussy, never sloppy... just clean and put together. And it looks as great with suit as it does with jeans. :)
I liked the photos you posted on the LHC of Bartek a lot more - he's got inspiring hair! I don't think I have better hair..but I do think I should be backed by a modeling agency, LOL.
OhhhHHHhh yeahhhhhh.
Your wish is my command
And lastly, this pic from backstage at Maison Martin Margiela:
OMG WORK THE CAMERA!
(you do have a great jawline and cheek bones though)
how wonderful hair....
these pics are great!! you know i do erotic photography, right? you could model for me anytime!! (it would be a great present for your real wife ::giggle:: ) so get your cute little butt to az!
Hahaha, I did not know that! Maybe I knew it and forgot about it because you've been AWOL. But I distinctly remember the fem dom references, so I don't think that's the case :) If ever I feel like immersing myself in dry, sweltering AZ heat..then that will be my first stop! Now, show me your portfolio!
Good post Sillage. It's good to see long hair is considered a good look by some in the world of fashion.
Bruce
I like these pics! It was a bit surprising to see that there actually are longhaired male models (besides Fabio, LOL), and I think, despite some of the other posters' objections here, that they look fine.
Remember, people aren't FORCED to model. If they seriously minded being that skinny, they'd find something better to do with their lives. Everyone has to make a living somehow.
-James
I agree with you, no need to bash the models themselves. They're just workin'. Hey, if someone offered me $1000 to walk down a hall and come back....I'd do it.
Some of them are quite "pretty", and
their hair looks pretty decent over all...
I cant help but be reminded of Zoolander, though,
and hope they don't have a 'freak gasoline fight
accident" :p
I think those guys look really great, I know some people here think they're too skinny or fem, but I think it's a really good look and I do like their hair and their clothes.
I just find it a little strange that a forum for men who want to go against the norm, is against thin men who look "fem". Isn't fem just something society came up with like short hair for men?
I love this kind of styles. Not only the hairstyles but also the styles of the makeups, clothes a.s.o. !
