I know what the awkward stage is, but does it look bad? If so, how bad is it and when would you expect it to be over with?
Its horrible. Hair is longer than a Beatle cut, you cant really do anything with it, it sucks :( Its hard emotionally also.
Yes, the awkward stages sucks. With my hair, one side of my head flares back while the other side flares forward
God this awkward stage is f-ing horrible. Looks so stupid. I look at the beautiful girls in class, who have been growing their hair their entire life, and it is so beautiful (as are they). I just wish I could hide from the world until my hair is a happy length :)
dude, even though you're in the awkward stage, it probably looks a lot better than you think it does. Besides, no matter how stupid it might seem to you right now, you're still doing way better than all the guys with crewcuts or little gelled-up spikes. And i bet at least some of those beautiful girls you've been seeing in class think your hair's pretty cute.
It all depends on your level of confidence. I'm about to hit the awkward stage and from what i'm told, i'm about to find out just how confident i REALLY am!
It's the stage when your hair is long enough so you can't easily control it like short hair, but still not long enough to do things like tie it in a ponytail, or long enough to just stay under control from its own weight. It seems like it takes forever for the hair on the sides to catch up with the hair in the back, so you can get it all in a ponytail, or just have an all-one-length style.

Agreed. The awkward stage is like peace in the middle east. It takes forever and the promise of simply getting it all into a ponytail is tantilizingly out of reach:
Have you seen the movie Castaway? That's what you wish will happen until your hair grows out.
It really sucks at first. I kept getting mine trimmed because it looked so bad but that just made it last longer. I'm still in the akward stage but the further you go into it the better it is. Your hair starts to lay down better as it gets longer. It will be hell for a while but it is well worth it.
