Some pics from the Southern California Renaissance Faire. I apologize for the quality of some of the pics as I didn't edit them. These were taken on April 12th and 13th when it was 105
degrees F. We managed to make it til 5:00 in spite of the heat.
Enjoy
Kevin
Me in my garb, although the outfit isn't complete I need a belt and pouch not to mention a hat.
This woman had beautiful hair so I thought I'd snap a pic
One of the participants nice mane.
The snake charmer, not into snakes so I employed the zoom feature. :D
Three manes in one photo at the watering hole
One of the Queesns guard with pony tail
A miscelaneous longhair. Surpriseingly there weren't as
many manes at this faire compared to the one in Wisconsin.
The guy in the lower right had some cool dreads.
How medieval of you!!! Some GREAT longhairs @ those events, also they're always ran by gorgeous girls so that's always a plus also. I'm looking forward to ours, it's in August (NYC Renaissance Fair).
Awesome pics!
That one is actually on my list to go and see but it overlaps with Bristol in Wisconsin as well as I go to a Metal Festival in Europe
the first week in August. I know I'll get there some day.
Take care Phil
Kevin
That looks like a lot of fun! :-) Again, hair looks great! :-)
Hi Kevin,
Thanks for sharing those pics of the renn faire and they are always great to see and we don't really have anything quite like that here in the UK.
I like the costume are wearing and looks very well in period and you certainly scrub up well!
Cheers,
John.B
Hi John I do enjoy the boots and have worn those on other occasions. I'm not into the Ren thing as much as Ray but it's
fun once in a while. If you make it over the pond anytime in
the future let me know and who knows maybe we could make on.
Cheers
Kevin
Yikes! I never would have been able to tell that it was 105 degrees the day you were at that Faire.
Absolutely fantastic GOOD QUALITY photos Kevin of terrific inspiration! What a fabulous event it must have been. Glad you were able to attend. Sure wish I could have regardless of the high temperature that day.
Thanks for sharing these magnificent photos with all of us.
Justin~ :-)
Thanks Justin
The heat was oppressive but as they say, "but it's a dry heat".
Regardless it was taxing, and in Wisconsin we get that in the
summer but with high humidity so people pass out left and right.
The first aid stations are constantly full.
Kevin
I got to go to the one here in Texas back in the early 90's, it was a long day rollin around that place in a wheelchair.
Thanks for the photos!
Frank
Looks like a great festival, must have been a lot of fun.
There a some really nice manes over there, but I think people who are into the costumes also have long hair more than people who don't.
Those are some nice manes, Kevin. I don't know how you could stand 105* with heavy clothing on. I can't stand 90* even when lightly clothed.

And hairy palm trees even!
