More pics from my trip, Alcatraz and the Liberty ship.
The ship is a working example and they go out on cruises
4 or 5 times a year. We plan on going next year. Alcatraz
was cool the best time to go is early before the island
is swamped with people.
wow Kevin that is awesome man! i would love to visit something like that i live all the way in Mississippi :( lol, the only thing we have here is the civil war battle field in vicksburg and elvis presley lol but great photos man again glad you had a good time my friend! take care, Mark
Well Mark we don't have much more in WI which is why I travel LOL.
Travel means a lot to me and I sacrifice much to afford to do it.
We all have our priorities. If you ever have the chance go to
Northern California it's awesome.
Kevin
Kevin,
It looks like you had lots of fun in SF. You hair and Rays? hair is amazing too. :-)
Mike
Hi Mike.
As it was frequently windy I kept it tied up most of the time.
Although I would have prefered to let it down for pics I didn't
always think of it. At least everyone can see I do have a mane.
Thanks for the compliments
Kevin
Kevin;
Somehow, you look natural in that setting ! What did you say you did for a living? HA!
Seriously, great photos of the scenery and hair. Your hair is sooo much longer than your board photo leads one to believe. Time for a serious update.....
The S.S. Jeremiah O'Brien is the last remaining active Liberty ship that participated in D Day at Normandy. I was fortunate enough to have sailed on her a couple of years ago out of San Diego....during the cruise, you have complete run of the ship....very special to be on a part of history.
Thanks for Sharing the photos
Walter
Hi Walter
OOOOH lucky you. Ray and I agreed the best bargain of the whole trip was the O'Brien as for $8 you got to wander the ship unescorted except for the roped off areas which were few.
We are determined to go back and do one of the bigger cruises.
as you know it was next to the Submarine but who wants to walk up and down a tube. Besides I've visited the one at the Field Museum in Chicago and we have one here in Wisconsin also.
When we make that trip I will make sure to have a weekend for a proper MLHH meet and take many pics. I'll make sure you have a lot of lead time as to hopefully attend. We gotta wear the hat! Ha!
Kevin
Hi Kevin,
Thanks for sharing those wonderful pics of your trip to Alcatraz and you really had nice weather for it. With all my trips to the bay area I've never quite got over to the island but I hope to rectify that later this year when I make a trip over to the west coast in the fall.
The pictures really show of Ray's and your hair and great to see another pair of "hairfarmers"..:-)
I like the pic with you on the steps on your own and great composition. Of course no set would be complete with out pride of place on the throne!
Cheers,
John.B
Hi John,
I hope your trip in the fall has as nice of weather as we did.
As I've said before the trick to Alcatraz is go bloody early.
It was nice to wander the island before the crush of people got
there. Photo taking was easier also.
Cheers
Kevin
Is this board ever lucky today with all of these fabulous photos you are showing us. What a treat! :-)
And of your long hair as well as Rays:
MAGNIFICENT!
Thanks Justin
I don't do may threads but when I do they are pic laden.
Glad you enjoyed them. I was wishing I took my big camera
but on vacation I just didn't want to monkey with it and the
little one fits nicely in my pocket.
Kevin
Hi Kevin,
What fabulous photos from your most fascinating trip to Alcatraz! Thank you for sharing, and of course both you and ray have awesome hair.
Take care,
David
Thanks David
When you do your trip in 09 and if you do Alcatraz it's worth it.
I only wish I wore something light colored to better show off the
mane but oh well it's there.
Kevin
Those are some great photos Kevin C! The one on the john was interesting. :-)
Great hair also.
Frank
I thought it amusing in a cheesy sort of way. It was fascinating to walk through the real deal, not a mock up for tourists but as it was in 1963.
Kevin
Wow another great set of pictures, you both got great manes.
When I ever go to america I've got some ideas what to visit.
looks just like it did in that Dirty Harry movie. thanx enjoyed it.
THe scenery here, while nice, is not as impressive to me as the coastal pics. There are, however many more pics of the long hair sported by the two of you. Boy, is it long and looks great!
