Hello everyone - there sure is a lot of great hair growing going on around here!
Here' my update as of April, 2 years since my last haircut:
For comparison, here's what it looked like in June 2007:
My goal to this point was to reach two years without a trim, which I've now done. I originally thought I'd get a small trim to even up some of the "natural" layers once I hit the 2yr goal, but I have absolutely no interest in doing so any time in the foreseeable future. So, onward to the next goal - belt length! (should take another two years, unless I do eventually break down and get that trim)
Keep it growing!
Jim
Awesome progress Jim!
That's the thing with these goals, you just keep extending them. I'm facing similar "problems".
Keep the hair growing!
Looks great. No trims is a good strategy.
That's amazing length for less than 1 year!!! It looks great and they layering looks really good as well.

Your hair looks fantastic Jim, I see no need to trim. I trimmed at just over 2 years only because I started to see more and more split ends, but if that doesn't plague you, then onward to belt length!
Bruce
Hi Jim,
Thanks for the update and the hair is looking great and in wonderful condition (don't you reckon trimmers!) and do keep it growing.
Cheers,
John.B
Your hair looks great! I like the wavyness and it seems to be in very good condition. That's an awesome progression.
I also had similar considerations about trimming some time ago...before roughly a year I thought that I could need a trim when reaching 2 years of growth (which was in October), but then I recongized that I want to keep it untrimmed, the amount of split-ends was quite low, so I just kept/keep it growing. Unfortunately now I recognize more damage, so maybe I'll go for some "search and destroy". Anyway a trim would only destroy the nice natural shape of your/my hair, so I think this is a great choice.
I remember you posting "professional" hair pics from your office in June 2007 when I just discovered the mlhh (I was only a lurker then), that was vey impressive, too.
Good luck in achieving your goal.

OT: @ John.B: Did you receive my e-mail?
Very good length since June looks great.

Hi Jim,
Your hair is in excellent condition, grows fast, and with your thick ends, belt length should be a "no brainer" for you. I only wished my hair was as thick as yours.
Keep it growing,
David
wow that is great! great progress for 2 years man youve come a long ways my friend! hope mine is that long in 2 years growth!
Not only are is your hair looking fantastic, but that is one of the best illustrations of how an extra year of length and weight will relax curls. Great inspiration for those curly-heads in terminal awkward stage !
Thanks for Sharing
Walter
Such superb long hair and I would wager a bet that you have not a single regret.
Most likely waist length is about 2 years away and belt length nearly 3. All depends alot on height. But:
You'll make it! :-)
Your seems to be in good shape and it has really gained length even from the July '07 pic. Congrats on reaching your goal.

Looks really great! That's some good length for 24 months, your hair also seems straighter now than before:D
Thanks everyone for the comments - MLHH is a big reason why I've stayed on track.
Jim
Nice progress in comparison to your 2007 picture.
This gives hope to the curly akward stage that it will settle down with some lenght.
It will be interesting how my hair will look in a year.
