After reading all the posts and advice about hair washing, I decided to give a CO wash a go this morning, and I must admit I'm happy with it so far. It seems softer than usual, which I'm certainly not going to complain about. I usually wash it every two to three days, so I'll let you know how it goes.
I should really have done this a couple of weeks ago, because I'm going up to Scotland for ten days and will have the benefit of decent water for a change. The water in Oxfordshire is a bit too hard for my liking, and my hair always feels better when I'm at home. Now I won't know if any change is due to the water or lack of shampoo. At the end of the day though, I'm not really that bothered. As long as my hair looks and feels good, I'll be happy.
Off on a tangent... I found a photo of myself from July last year earlier today. I was surprised at the difference in hair length. My braid is longer now than my ponytail was then! At a rough guess, I'd say that I've gained about six inches since then. If I can keep that up, I should be able to reach waist length by this time next year, as that's about as far as I've got to go. I've been smiling ever since I saw it. You just don't notice your hair growing, do you? Ah, I'm having a good day now.
^_^ I'm glad you like Co, or think you do for now. Sometimes it can go sour, but I like it. I've been CO for months.
And congrats on the growth! : D
Thanks.
It feels pretty good so far, actually, no different to washing with shampoo and then conditioning. I suppose tomorrow will be the real test.
What is a CO wash?
