Hey everyone, the ends of my hair dried pretty straight today so I took this opportunity to take a couple of pictures. The last couple of inches usually flip up and it gets extremely annoying at times... however, I'm doing my best to just deal with it for now because I think it'll look more interesting than dead straight hair once the ends are farther down my back.
I have a second picture that I'll also post.
Cheers,
Peter
Here is my hair untied.
Both PIC's look good. Way out of the awkward stage. How many months now?
Thanks Quester! I'm not really sure how long I've been growing it. I remember in October 2006 I had bangs at about eye level, but I tried cutting it myself which was a huge mistake. I went to a hairdresser and got it as fixed up as much as possible but it was still pretty bad. Since then I haven't gotten another short haircut. I've gotten one trim at the hairdresser's and recently cut off a very small amount off the ends.
Unfortunately, there are still remnants of the time in which I tried cutting my own hair... I have a small bit of hair at the front that is only about 4.5 inches long. It isn't too noticeable anymore because it is nearly long enough to tuck behind my ear. The ends are also somewhat uneven but I don't really care at this point... maybe one day I will get them evened up, but certainly not within the next year or two.
Thanks again,
Peter
Again, both pics look great. Congrats on your progress, the longer it gets the easier it gets! Good luck ;-)
Tom
Thanks Tom!
One of the great "milestones" to be sure and your hair is looking spledid! Gravity is finally winning-out. BRAVO!
When growing out ones hair, and at last things begin to fall into place, some surprises still await. In your case you will still see flips galore one day and hardly any the next. This period will probably go on for a couple of more months so don't be upset if this happens. It is just normal. The strangest of all, at least in my case is what I refer to as the "2nd awkward stage." Ha Ha Ha. You would think after 2 years that all was settled...........but not so. I was amazed to see flips suddenly in my 3rd year and my hair was at least 1/2 way down my back. (It was the very ends that suddenly were flipping.) After a while it went away and has never returned since. Of course at my present belt length I don't think my hair would dare flip. LOL
Best of luck to you as you continue growing out your hair. Fabulous texture and shine I might add.
Thank you very much for the encouragement Justin! I intend to grow it much longer. :)
Cheers,
Peter
Thank you Jonathan!
Hi Peter,
First of all, I apologize for the late reply. Your hair is awesome, so thick and healthy, with lots of shine, and be sure to keep it growing! Just imagine where you will be in another year!
Cheers,
David
Thank you David! It's very inspiring to think of the length I will achieve in another year.
Cheers,
Peter
It looks good and at least you can get it all in a ponytail.
My hair gets a bit wavy after a wash and i rather like it and
agree it looks more interesting that way.
Kevin
Thank you Kevin!
