  I hate the PIC's I take of myself. Hence not doing it very often. These two are my "Willie Nelson" Braids. I really don't think they look very good on me. Plus I cant braid for sheet.

    I think those braids are rockin'! I sometimes will try a braid and I find it easier to practice on the side. Looks good Quester!

    Nothing wrong with those. Good job. If you're going for Willie's look, though, I think he braids his starting from behind his ears so the braids don't cover his ears. That's how I do mine, too.

    I think you have done a grat job with the braids and similar to how Wily Nelson looks. I'd keep practising and it's a great look and also of the look of some of the Viking era.

    Hi Quester,

    These braids are awesome, and what an outstanding job! I have wanted to try braids myself, and admit that I have not yet learned. I don't know if my hair is thick enough to have dual braids, though. (one on each side)

    If you wear a RED bandanna with the braids, or with your hair coming down both sides even if unbraided, you will definitely get Willie Nelson comments. I get them a lot myself when I wear a red bandanna but not so much when I wear other colors. I got even more of them when I had a shorter beard (like in the photo above and like you have).

    Hey Quester. You did those yourself?? I think they look great, man! I definitely can't braid worth crap myself. I have my wife braid mine from time to time and I'll admit - it takes a bit getting used to them. But, as an outsider looking in at your pictures I think they fit you just fine!

    Thanks for the replies and encouragement. I guess Stepping out of the box is a little uncomfortable for me. i wore them all day and they were a mess at the end. Mostly the hair at the base of the neck. I'll try again sometime maybe.

    I will say you can pull that off well and if you don't mind being compared to Willie Nelson just be sure to pay your income taxes.
