Hi everyone! I know it's been awhile since I've stopped by. Always happens. Y'know. I'm in the middle of a big move!
Anyway, here's a few new pictures! I figure why not. This is just me at band practice... my camera has been broke for awhile so, whoever can recommend a GREAT cheap digital camera that isn't made by Sony, I'm in the market!
Last week my band had our 5th gig so far...my 5th gig as well. We got to open for Paganfest at I-Rock in Detroit! Some of you may recognize the name Paganfest; it's Ensiferum, Turisas, Tyr, and Eluveitie touring around Europe, Canada, and the US (first time). The turnout was amazing, and it was pretty much the best day of my life for the past year or so for me.... so that's sayin' alot! And we have some new stuff recorded and more on the way (an album by the summer)... I'm just excited!
I just feel lucky to be a part of it all, for once! Well, here's a link to the music... www.myspace.com/vintenar
Your hair really looks amazing in that first pic. I have to wonder how fun it is getting caught in the strings though. :p
Yep, you're right. Not so much in the strings, but if it ever makes its way near the tuners on my guitar... ouch!
Hi Peg,
As always, your hair is awesome, and is the envy of so many of us at the hyperboard. That looks like a really cool band you play in too!
Keep it growing,
David
First off, congrats on all the awesome gigs, Peg! Second, keep growing that absolutely rockin mane of yours. It's looking awesome! Stay well... =)

Your hair looks friggin awesome man! You're so lucky that you got to open for Ensiferum. I can't wait till May 22nd when they roll around to Bb Kings in NYC. Again, you're hair is killer man it's really long also.

...YOU !!
Outstanding !! Your hair is really impressive, you look natural "on stage" and the addition of facial hair rounds out the package perfectly !
Thanks for Sharing
WWT
Your hair looks fantastic, Peg. It appears to be waist length now. The beard looks excellent with your hair. You certainly have the longest hair in your band. I wish you the best of luck in your rise to fame. Keep growing that mane.
Scott
Many good bands and I wish I could have gone to that. I look forward to hearing some of your new stuff.
Take care
Kevin
Your hair is awesome Peg, Rock on dude!

Hair looks great!! When you touring in Oregon? LoL
Man, dude...the hair is great....
You should go touring over here in California sometime!
Seems like you have an awesome band!
Take Care, Peace!

Great news about your band and I am very happy for you.
As always, your own long hair is absolutely magnificent! An inspiration to all. Thanks for sharing the photos with all of us.
Wish I could be of help to you about a camera. The one I use once belonged to Matthew Brady. LOL
I realy like the first picture a lot!
It's nice you got to play at the paganfest I've been there in holland but the first band didn't fit in the evening.
Your band sound cool, I hope I ever get the ability to see you live.
Congrats dude, your hair is f**kin A man. Continue growin the locks and playin the metal dude.
Hey, I just played I-Rock too a couple of weekends ago!
Hair Religion
Nice! What is your band name? Maybe we can share the stage someday!
Hi Peg,
I hope things are well with you mate and thanks for sharing the pictures and as always the hair is looking amazing.
So you managed to get on the support for the Paganfest wow, how did you manage to secure that. That is certainly a great achievment only after 5 gigs. I look forward to hearing more of the bands material once it has been recorded. Good luck with the recording.
Cheers,
John.B
Thanks John.B, always good to hear from you, my friend!
I'd like to say part of us getting on the bill for Paganfest was luck, but I'm sure the style of music played a role as well.
And for the first time in my life, it payed off to have been raised in the middle of nowhere--it turns out the man in charge of all booking for the venue is from a very small town near the even smaller town that I grew up in! Haha! So, some bs'ing about small towns/northern Michigan may have helped...
Thanks for all the comments!! And now that the summer is here, it feels even better to allow my hair down and let the wind take it, or headbang!
Now aren't you glad you didn't cut your hair?
Great that you've gotten to play as the opener for all those acts. Admirable, quite. I've actually heard of Eluveitie and I know almost nothing of the metal music genre. Is that a beard too? That's cool as well.
7-String...cool, man. Hair looks awesome and congrats on the music!

Very cool pics Peg! Your hair looks simply fantastic.
Damn that is fantastic hair you have there. That's exactly what I wanna do: grow long hair, get in a band, go gigs, and just rock out & headbang :D
Your hair is looking epic. The beard looks nice too. A very metal combo. That's awesome you got to open for Paganfest. I got to see them a week ago. Great show.
Hey Peg always cool to hear from you no matter how long its been.
Your pics are just awesome and you sure have a fantastic metal look.I mean the hair, guitar, amps, black leather jeans all looks pro.I'd love to get a copy of your material when its released.Maybe someday you can get a gig in NYC as there are several clubs sprinkled around the city to perform in.I'd definately be there to check you guys out.Anyway I'm glad things have been going well for you as I remember you had issues a while back.As always thanks for remembering your friends here on the board and ROCK ON!Take care my friend...
Mark
Mark, thanks for the kind comments! I'd be happy to personally send anyone and everyone a demo in the mail if they want one.
And yes, my health issues have vastly improved (once again), so it is a great feeling--and even better that I still have my hair.
As long as this hyperboard is here or somewhere on the net, I'll be back sometime or another--and I'll never forget any of the friends that are here. Great people, everyone here is!
Take it easy,
Peg
Awesome hair dude... Very cool! Those waves are the envy of many... ;-))
Tom
I would like to know if you of Scandinavian descent... if you are, I guess the music runs in the blood! :P.
And I know about Paganfest! I've been there twice (couldn't go this year; money + parental issue), and it is the best black metal gathering in the U.S.
I would like to know what your band is. If you're good enough to at least open for a festival like Paganfest, it is something I must check out! Definitely!
Cool man! I like your guitar! I added you on myspace. :)
