Do you guys know of any good ponytail holders. I really dislike those god-awful scrunchies. All I want is a piece of covered elastic with NO metal. Do you know where I can find these? Any help is appreciated.
why you do not use a normal classic elastic ?
monie's ponies makes very small covered elastics with fabric. She does not have them in her store on ebay but if you email her she will make them for you. They are very small with no gathered fabric and I use them at the bottom of my braids. I've never seen them in the store before. plain elastics are not a good idea but if you do decide to use them, you must cut the elastic to take it out, do not attempt to remove it anyother way.
Okay, thank you. How much would one of those cost?
i think they are 4 for $10.00, but you will have to check with her. I buy alot of scrunchies from her.
go to walmart. look in the hair care section.
Hi
I contacted my scrunchy lady and she got me a picture to show you. This is the smallest size she makes, available in all plain colors and prints too. They are 4 for 10.00. She will make them bigger if you have thick hair.
Here's a good place to look and get ideas - plenty of pictures and several different brands. All products are available from them (on line of course), but are probably quicker to locate in your local drug store, mall, Walmart or ??? Also, most are very inexpensive.
I use plain, covered elastic - without any metal clasp.
I have a link to Scrunchies-dot-com on my web site, but have yet to purchase anything from them - although a lot of people do. I don't use anything "fancy," so I just shop locally.

Sally's has bags of 250 plastic stretchy elastics for making pony tails for $1 or $2. Durable enough for a few days use, and won't damage your hair. I've recently seen 'em at Wal mart for a bit more, but they have the multicolored ones.
Also, WallyWorld has scrunchies without the metal thingies. That's what I use . . .
Ought to be more imaginative ways to hold a ponytail together, though . . .
