The weather over here is very hot for this time of the year and this is my first time with long hair, so I went to the shop and bought some ties and made my first tail. It's not much but the beginning is there, it will be interesting to see it grow and more and more hair will reach it.
This will also be my 8 month update, the next month I will do an update with my hair loose.

Looks good for 8 months. I had a lot of people comment at that stage. Mostly "what's up with your hair?" kinda stuff. Keep it growin. You're getting close now.
I don't care about the comments I get, they will pass when it longer and they see I'm serious about it.

Nice update and it IS MUCH! Getting that first ponytail is a major accomplishment and shows that the person is really serious about having long hair. Measure down 6 inches from where you are now and you may rather be amazed at how long that tail will be in a year. We all had to start the same way. "From little acorns big trees grow." Your long hair will be more and more magnificent as time goes on.

I know I've made great progress and compared to a lot of men I have a huge ponytail. But it's difficult not to compare with all the manes over here. You're right I will get there in time.

Yes, it will be interesting to see how it turns out when longer with those flips. My hair won't be dead flat which I like.

Hi, thanks for the compliment, I hope it will be fun most days it ok but sometimes my bangs drive me insane.
I will update every month so there will plenty of updates along the way.
I have grown out my hair for 17 months, and I can put most of my hair in a short ponytail. I can barely put it in a ponytail in September, which was month 9. It was in November that I started really wearing a ponytail. I wear a ponytail once a week to once every two weeks. Then when I got a hair trimmed for my cousin's wedding in February, I can only barely put it in a ponytail again. Now I can put a majority of my hair in a ponytail, but not the hair on the front of my head.

Yes it is, everyday it feels longer and longer and I start feeling like a longhair more.
Your hair is coming along nicely Vincent, congrats on that milestone. The ponytail is an interest milestone. You start with a small one with just a few hairs in it. Then as time goes on, you can catch more of the sides in it and that becomes yet another milestone. Then low be behold, your bangs are there and another milestone!
Here's to many more milestones on your long hair journey.

Thanks bruce, it will be a lot of fun passing al that milestones and experimenting with tailing it. I already like my tail a lot and went out in public today with it for the first time. I was a great feeling.
