Hello everyone!
I have finally made it. The two year mark is upon me, and although I did have a small trim about five days ago (amounting to about an inch taken off), I am quite happy with my hair. I didn't go with the single-length look I had originally wanted, but the trim remedied the horrible knots and tangles I had been facing lately, and I don't regret it one bit.
Anyways, now time for pictures! I took these up in Red Rocks Park, just west of Denver. It was the same location as my one year update, and with the gorgeous blue skies we've been having, it made for a great location for an update.
I love these last two... =D
Phew! Okay... Two years come and gone. Onward to three! As always, comments and questions are welcomed, and please check out my website (just click on my avatar). Thanks!

Hi James,
As always, you post the most awesome updates, from one of the most beautiful locations on the planet. Colorado is one place that I hope to visit sometime after I retire. Your hair is looking great, as always, and I am glad that the trim went so well, so onwards to longer and longer! Keep being an inspiration to everyone.
Take care,
David.
Thank you, David! I'm sure you'd really like visiting here. Hope you're doing well out in Nova Scotia! See you around the board. =)
-James
Your hair looks great, James, and the earrings add a nice touch.
I hope you're feeling better as of late.

Hi James,
Thanks for the update and renewing our confidence it's no the longhair to shorthair's trimmers board as to be honest we've seem enought of that thiss week. Your hair is looking great mate and I'm sure you are happy with it.
I've not booked my 12 week standing trim appt, so all tou trimmers go away it's a longhair board and if you want to trim start you own board up as we're bored of it...capiceh!!!
Cheers,
John.B
PS...wait fo the whiney comments!!!
Thanks, John! The trim was necessary for me, as my ends were quite dry and damaged. It turned out well, however, so no complaints here. Stay well. =)
-James
Fine lookin head of hair there James and nice scenic photos!
Frank
Thanks, Frank! It's a gorgeous part of the country. =)
-James
VERY nice update, James! Wow, has it been 2 years already? Man, how the time flies. I still remember your updates leading up to the 1 year milestone. Crazy. You've come a long way...quiet the transformation, I must say. I hope you've kicked your illnesses butt and are getting the much needed rest you deserve. I still gotsta get myself out to Red Rocks one of these days.
On to 3 years!!
Take care,
~gman
Thanks, Gman! Red Rocks is really a special place, for sure. You'd really like it. Hope you're doing well, and keep growing! =)
-James
Hi James! Great pics...very artfully done. Your hair looks great with that trim. You are poised for another super year of growing I think. Congrats on your anniversary.
Cheers,
Max
Thank you, Max! I appreciate the compliments. =)
-James
Congrats on the progress, lookin' good dude! You're on a roll now, keep it rollin'!! Happy growing ;-))
Tom
Thanks, Tom! Can't wait for another year's growth... =)
-James
Looking great James, as usual. Awesome update! You've been an inspiration.
Joshua
Thank you, Joshua! Glad to know I can help some people out. Keep yours growing, and I really look forward to seeing your progress. Stay well, man. =)
-James
Your hair looks great. My hair is like 2/3 the length of your hair and I have growin it out for 17 months now. If I did not get a trim in February, my hair would start touching my shoulders by now. But my hair was starting to get damaged at the ends. I wonder what you will look like on the third year.
Regardless
My MySpace
Thanks, Regardless! Keep your hair growing, and you'll be at your desired length before you know it. I'm looking forward to another year's progress, as well. Stay well, and keep growing! =)
-James
Hi James! As usual your pics are excellent. Thanks for posting them and as usual I like to pick out a favorite which I will do:)Usually I'm against trimming and since your hair has not yet made it to waist length I'd say just let it grow.Just joking as if I remember correctly I didn't think you were looking to go for that kind of length anyway.Well listen James I speak for myself and I feel bad that you are leaving the moderation crew as me being the newbie it would have been great working alongside of you as well as with the others. However I understand that things are changing in your life and I wish you the best.At least be an active member as I always like to see your posts as they are always upbeat.Have a great summer and take care of that hair my friend:)Your a real inspiration.
Mark
Thank you very much, Mark! I'll be sticking around the board, no worries. This place is too awesome to just give up outright. You'll do a fine job with moderating, I'm sure. Hope all is well for you! =)
-James
Long hair really suits you, James! Its hard to imagine you with short hair at this point. I hope to take some good "nature shots" myself sometime soon. I hope all is going well!
Peace,
Ryan
Hey, thanks, Ryan! Short hair just won't cut it for me anymore. The nature shots are fun, as they allow for the most creativity (especially if you don't have a tripod). Hope you're well, too! =)
-James
Another excellent update James! Your hair is looking terrific, congrats on 2 years!
I love Colorado, some 31 years ago, 2 of my best friends and I went on a road trip cross country. When we hit the Denver area, Red Rocks was our first scenic stop of many in your beautiful state. Seeing your pictures brings back those memories. Thanks for sharing.
Bruce
Hey Bruce! Thank you! That place is home to many of my memories, as well: high school graduation, photo sessions (non-hair related), seeing the President... At any rate, hope you get to come back and see it again sometime. Stay well, and keep growing! =)
-James
Wow, James!
Your hair is awesome! The color, the nice wave in it, everything! Your hair is indeed an inspiration to all, and of course, keep it growin!
Always,
-Ddude (DJ)
Thanks, DJ. Just doin' my thang, as it were. Keep it growing, and best of luck on your continued journey! =)
-James
Your hair is growing very well James. You are now starting your third year of growth. It should tame down with added length. In another 6 months 90% it should stay tied in a tail even in wind. You always have new hairs growing in, as does everyone here, so there will always be about 10% that does not reach the tie. That is true for me too. About 90% of mine reaches the tie, and 10% does not.
On a different subject, I hope you are feeling better now. May you make a full recovery.
Scott
Thank you very much, Scott! I think you're right with all that. I really don't do much to my hair anymore to keep it under control. And yes, I'm feeling 100% better now. A little rest and relaxation, and I was good to go!
Again, thanks, Scott! Hope all is well for you. =)
-James
Wow James. The two year mark and it seems almost like yesterday that you started.
One of the most inspiring as well as magnificent photo updates this board could have ever hoped for, and does long hair ever suit you greatly.
Glad you are going for the 3 year mark. Now that you have the tangles figured-out (which hit me around the 2 year mark as well) you will know when to get those taken care of when needed and your hair will be a breeze and pleasure every day. :-)
Absolutely fantastic!
Justin~
Hey, thank you ever so much, Justin! This next year is going to fly by, as I have so much planned and have so much to do. I hope you are doing well, my fine sir. =D
-James
Fuckin' awesome, dude. Hopefully I can get mine to your length.
- Chris PhoeniX -
LOL Thanks, Chris. It won't be long and you'll be there. Just keep it growing and be patient. See you around, buddy. =)
-James
Congratulations on your two year anniversary !! Seems like that went by quickly. You are looking great.
Colorado is a great place to be this time of the year.
Have a good summer break...
Walter
Thanks, Walter! It did go by very quickly, as I'm sure the two years will. Hope all is well for you! =)
-James
Hi again,
This is a great set of pictures, very scenic and indicative of great hair. You have reached a great length and it's just going to get better. I hope you have a great summer to in Colorado. I'm amazed at the coat in May, but then I know your weather is vastly different. I still like the earrings! I may just have some like that in my next update.
MB
Thanks, Matt! It actually started snowing yesterday after I took those pics (go figure!), but just a light carryover from the mountains. Today it's nice and warm again... Colorado for ya! Anyways, thanks for the compliments, and I hope you're doing well! =)
-James
Hey James,
There's nothing wrong with periodic trims to help your ends and/or reach the all-one-length goal. I think your hair is looking great and no doubt has benefited from the fresh ends. What a fabulous place to take hair pics too!
Jason
Thanks, Jason! I plan on trimming every 12 months or so, from now on, or at least when the ends get really bad. You've certainly been an inspiration, to say the least. I hope you're doing well. Next time you're in Colorado, you should definitely take a short jaunt up to Red Rocks. It's such a wonderful place. =)
-James
Congratz on reaching a great milestone! From now on it will be easy to grow your hair really long.
As always your update is excelent and your right the location is very nice.
Thank you, Vincent! Your hair is really coming along well, and you'll definitely be pleased with another year's progress. Keep it growing! =)
-James

Hey, thanks, Miller! That's quite the compliment, though I'm not sure I could ever do modeling... =D Hope all is well with you. Keep it growing! =)
-James
Hi James, I would never have known you had a trim, your hair looks longer than ever, and it looks great too.
~ Dave
Thanks, Dave! I appreciate it. I think the length will be back before I know it. Hope all is well for you. =)
-James
Heey James! I'm a bit late posting this now, i've been away for a few days, anyway, your hair's lookin great, getting a lot longer:D
Seems like summer has already begun there, i'm waiting for that too, we had some sun about a week ago but now there was snowfall again:D
Take care and seeya around!
Hey, thanks, Simon! Sorry for not chatting in a long time, but I've been away from home a lot during the daytime because of work and all that stuff. At any rate, thanks for the compliments, man. And to compare, it snowed again this morning (basically a blizzard), so we're not without our share of snow here. Hope you're doing well, and maybe I'll get a chance to chat sometime this weekend. Later, buddy. =)
-James
