I was online checking out local events in the Bay Area and discovered an event called Paganfest at Berkeley civic center. I was nearly certain that a lot of longhairs would be there, and I was right. Here is the first 3 images. There are more to come.

Hey Scott looks like you hit pay dirt at the event as that small sample of longhairs looks fantastic!I guess it pays to check local events as you never know what may be going on.Did you get the opportunity to speak with any of these guys?I know I'd like to when spotting longhairs at events but I'm a bit too shy to approach people like that especially if just to comment on their hair.I'm sure I'm wrong but thats always been a problem I've had.Anyway hope you had fun and got lots of pics:)Oh yea and how was the event anyway?Take care my friend.
Mark
Hi Mark, I did get a chance to talk to some of the people there. I handed out 2 invites to MLHH. (With MY image on them, no need to worry guys.) Hopefully at least one of them will join us. One guy, with a gorgeous braid, did express interest in getting information on how to better care for his hair. I did get a lot of pics and the event was worth it due to all the long hair. I will post some more pics soon.

I wonder how many people in the US become Pagans because other religions discourage freedom of expression when it comes to appearance. From a certain PoV it's easy to regard that as a trivial reason to depart from a faith; but when you live every day depressed because people look like clones, something has got to give.
I have no idea how many turn to paganism due to religious pressure, but there are certainly some that do so. For those with Christian beliefs, for example, it is best to find a congregation where people will accept you the way you are, rather than try to mold you into a clone of themselves. Been there, done that.
