Allthough I have long hair now, I have to say that a shaved head doesn't look bad either. Of course that depends on the person. But I had it shaved before and ill probably do it again, eventhough my hair reaches down to my shoulders at this point. It gets boring to have and to see the same kind of hairstyle on yourself and people. Who else thinks that way?

Be serious, NYC boy! If you think shoulder-length hair with which many styling--that's ARRANGING the hair, NOT cutting it-- options are open is boring what can you possibly say about a shaved head which leaves you nothing to work with--unless perhaps you are good at drawing or collecting autographs with a magic marker)?
If you read my previous post, then you obviously know why I came up with the shaved head idea!!
Hey, you don't have to go to the Austrian army.
Grrr
Every Austrian citizen has to. It's the law there!
No. You can choose alternative service instead of the army.
It's your hair, you're free to do what you want with it.
I wouldn't expect too much support on this list for cropping it all off.
It's your hair, so it's none of my business if you want to cut it.
That having been said..... What the heck are you thinking? Maybe I'm just biased, but I don't see how long hair is boring while a shaved head isn't. There's any number of styles a person can do with shoulder length hair, and just leaving it loose looks great too. (let's keep in mind that there's diffence between "hairstyle" and "haircut").
A shaved head is a LACK of hair - it doesn't get any more boring than that.
Is this the same NYC boy, who supposedly said, a week ago or more, that the Austrian army was making him cut his hair, and that he didn't want to? Sounds like to me, he's comforming and consenting to the Austrian army's rules, and just saying something in the nature of "sour grapes! Long hair is boring! Who needs it?"
Am I right?
I have always had long hair and I loved it since I was about 6 in the 1970's. I have 3 boys ahd they all have long hair, the youngest has a rattail all the way down his back
