I first visited here just a few months ago (5 ?). I found this site by searching "mens long hair styles", I was thinking about cutting but after seeing all the great hair here I changed my mind. My own hair seems to be growing rapidly now. I am at 44 months (starting from nearly shaven)and for some reason in the last couple months it seems my hair is growing faster. It may just be my imagination, but I thought it had stalled and I was approaching terminal length which bummed me out because I wanted at least belt line. I am about there. I have to keep my hair restrained almost all the time I am a woodworker/sawmill operator/tool sharpener, many spinning hair grabbing tools. It's nice to let it down every once in awhile like in the picture.
Hi Daren, nice lookin hair man.

hey Daren...great mane of hair bud!..i think we have similar situations...mone also seemed to just 'stop' growing and now i know i have added about 3 inches in the last several months..maybe it takes some time for the longer hairs to keep growing or decide to fall out...or maybe it is the vitamin regimen i am on but hair is thicker and longer than ever and i just turned 47!!so good length CAN come with age

Hiya Daren, Your hair looks great! I only wish mine was as long.Mine is about mid back after about 36 months and has a similar texture. Have you ever trimmed? I find my ends kind of frizzy and they get tangled and knotted easy. I usua;lly keep it tailed except for when I perform (I front an Allman Brothers Tribure Band)thats when I let it out, and it takes me hours to get the tangles out afterwards.I was wondering if you have any problems with knots and tangles. Other than that it looks great!I will be very glad if I get your kind of length. Keep on going the knees are next :)
Cheers
Todd B.

Todd, no I have never trimmed it. I too get knots in the ends another reason I keep it tied back. On a windy day with it loose I have a real mess. On a side note I was just jamming to some Allman Brothers cds in the shop before I came in for lunch, rock on.

Thanks for the info Brother! I'm glad you enjoy Jammin to the Brothers. To us it's more than music, the Brotherhood is a way of life with the music as the focal point. We are a NYC tri state area based band. I hope you get to come to one of our shows someday. The only place we are playing outside of NYC is a big festival in Ohio June 14th
Keep it growing,
Todd B.
Awesome main!! Very inspirational. I'm about half way there (I think) and am growing to terminal length. I am very glad you found us and didn't cut it.
Hi Daren,
What an awesome head of hair you have there, so thick and healthy! My dream is to grow my hair that long some day, but I suspect, that at my age, my terminal length is far shorter than the length in your photo.
Keep it growing,
David
that is some awesome hair man! very long and healthy rock on dude !
Very nice Daren! I keep my hair in a ponytail for other various reasons and I agree, it feels great at the end of the day to "Hang Loose"

Killer superb long hair.
BRAVO!
Your hair looks great. Keep it growing, don't cut it.
It already reaches your waist, in only 44 months. Your hair grows fast. Height is a major factor in the number of months to reach waist length too. It is hard to tell from the back, but you appear to be about 5'6" tall. The taller you are, the longer it takes to reach waist length or classic length or knee length. Anyway your hair is fantastic. Keep it long.

I am 6'3", so waist length is a little more hair than most I guess. I will try to add pictures from the front both taken last fall, before the "growth spurt" I mentioned.
I hit post before I finished my thought. The 2 man saw I am holding is 5'8" long for scale on my height.
Height is easy for me to estimate if I see you from the front. I use scale to estimate height. A head is 9" from chin to crown, making it easy to estimate height.
Waist length is about 1/3 of your height, if you have an average leg / torso length ratio. (75" / 3 = 25")If you have long legs and a short torso it can be 30%. If you are long waisted it can be 36% of your height.
I have relatively long legs and a short torso. I have the legs and arms of an average 6 foot man and the torso of a 5'6" man. (see photo)

Cue the Who!
The first pic with the saw and the trunks is awesome, I love the setting and the pose!
Hi Daren,
Good to hear from you again and glad to know that our community has helped you to contunue to grow your hair out. Thanks for the update and as I said before you have a great head of hair there and it's really gotten longer and it looks like you have a real growing spurt. The hair is a great inspiration to others and great to see the small curls at the end. Keep it growing and great to hear from you as always.
Cheersm

Wow, that's some great hair, Daren! I understand the part about being around spinning tools. While taking wood shop in high school, our teacher told us of some of the horror stories he'd experienced with students who had long hair... ouch.
Anyways, enough about that. Keep it growing, man! =)

Hey your hair has grown out nice. Looking pretty good and a great inspiration! hope all is good!
You hair is pretty long but hansome looking. I plan to grow my hair out up to about my mid-back, so that I don't sit on it. I believe that a person's hair growth actually slows down when approaching terminal length.

Hi Daren
Wow thats an awesome mane you've got there and for 44 months that seems really fast growth based on your pic.Its also interesting that you never trimmed so a good representation of your true length over that time. Some guys trim their hair during the growing out process so obviously you loose a little length every time thats done.I can't think of anyone who wouldn't be proud to have hair like yours:)Thanks for posting and welcome to the mlhh!Take care buddy.

Very Cool hair bro! Same length as mine but CURLY!! I'm jealous... You also found this site the same way I did ;-)) Thanks for the post and pic!

Hi Daren good to see you posting as your mane is truly inspirational and much longer than I thought looking at your last post. I hope all is going well with your business with the economy going to pot and all.
