Hi,
I just wanted to hear about what you guys have to say about thinning hair.I've had hair past my shoulders for about 4 years now and I'm not sure if I'm being a bit paranoid but I feel like I've had a bit of breakage and lost a bit of hair. When I tie it the tail seems to feel a lot thinner than it once was. I was just wondering if there are some good treatments that might be worth a go.
I have no obvious signs of balding, no receding hair line etc
Hey Cava,
Nioxin is supposedly good for thinning hair (non MPB). However, if I was you I would visit a dermatologist soon while your hair is still visibly full. At least he can tell you if you have any type of genetic thinning in which case you may want to consider Propecia (Finesteride) which blocks the some of the conversion of testosterone to DHT, which is responsible for MPB. In either case, I would visit the dermo just to be sure. Meanwhile you might want to give Nioxin a shot.
Hope this helps.
