i was gonna wait for the year mark in like 2 or 3 weeks but i got impatient. Here is a picture of me and my hair at just about 1 year.

almost, it all fits back but the bangs slip out pretty quick. also i dont feel that my tail is long enough yet. its still kinda stubby so when i wear it tied i feel like paul revere or something.

Your downloaded picture was out of focus...at least on my monitor...any chance of a sharper pic?
Next thing people will be complaining how the photo was cropped, or the picture is to dark or to bright or its not a holographic image.

looks really great. I think you are a long hair type. keept your hair growing.
I think i remember you saying you wanted to know how to make it really straight looking.. my hair looks similar to yours, i've found a pretty good system for keeping it straight looking.
i use the PhysiQue straight shape conditioner (available most places, i.e. Wal-Mart). The shampoo is good too.
I shampoo and leave the conditioner in for 3-5 minutes, then rinse out. while I rinse I turn around so the shower is behind me, I tilt my head back and let it wash all the hair down so it looks slicked back.
after I get out and my hair's still wet and slicked back, I do not touch my hair for a few hours, I sit very still and let it air dry.
the back is still a bit fuzzy, but if you comb it and hold it straight and press it against a pillow, it'll flatten out and look much straighter. (read a book for 30 minutes or so while waiting) the top, front and sides should be straight since they dried that way.
this is my routine, it works pretty well. hope it helps!
