this is my hair from behind in a pony tail. i apologize cause its a little dark towards the bottom and it make look like my hair keeps going but it doesnt. where you see it stop is where it stops. anyway, it hasnt been very long that i can do this, and i was wondering how it looked. i personally feel like someone out of the civil war, like mel gibson in the patriot or something. but im told by most it looks good but others say it looks "strange." just wondering what you guys thought.
Not bad at all, but I would suggest that you grow 2 more inches for the shorter hair to reach the tie. Anyway your hair is awesome.
Just tell me, how was your hair when you started growing, I'm 8 months and I feel your hair was longer at the same period of time.
yeah, about that. i figured based on the time ive been growing and the length of my hair ive figured out my hair grows about 3/4s of an inch per month(not sure about metric, im a dumb american kid sorry europeans.) this is slightly above the average of 1/2 of an inch permonths. since that is the average your hair could be growing about that or even a little slower. just give it time, it will eventually get there. i personally kinda enjoy the akward stage cause i know the uglier it starts to look the closer i am to the end of the tunnel. when i see my hair gets a new flip or curl it doesnt piss me off i just say "little bit more than i had yesterday."
Ok, just one question, my bangs reach my upper lip at 8 months, they are about 6 1/2 inches. How does that meassure up to you? Just curious.
I think my rate is about 1/2 an inch, but that was with heavy smoking, I have now quit and I am taking formula 37, hope it helps. I'm also working out.
Whats a cheap way to achieve hair growth of 2 inches a month? I herd if you don't wash your hair everyday it becomes more healthier, but my question is does it fasten the growth of your hair not washing it everyday? I'm desperate for longer hair. It hangs about 2.5 inches below my shoulder but my heavy bangs hang at my nose, and I want my bangs and the rest of my hair to grow out so my hair want look out of style and so can can feel better about my hair. HELP!!!!
Your hair looks great. But, the real thing is that your attitude is great! Keep it growing!
what do i think? it looks like a short ponytail- nothing strange about that. at your growth rate, the front should be staying tailed most of the day by summertime... which will be a great blessing when its hot.
depending on how long you plan on growing it, tailing your hair will come in handy once it's long enough to dangle in your food or otherwise get in the way. i work with heavy machinery and mine is tied back and 'bundled' down its length as a necessary safety precaution.
Hey I think it looks good, better than when I put my hair back. Unfortunately, I had to start all over again in December....bad misunderstanding with the stupid #$*(@#$ drama director at my school, Grr....anyway, CONGRATULATIONS that you havent fallen victim to pressures! Way to go!

Cool tail!!! Good luck to you for future growth! Do you have a pic with it all combed straight forward to see the length of your bangs/forelocks? Happy growing!
your hair looks really great. welcome to the pony tail club
That's the Revolutionary War, not the Civil War. **smiles**
I know a guy who just started wearing a pony tail all the time, and my first thought was that he looked like someone from the 1700s..

I have no idea who Paul Revere is/was (that's British education for you!) but you look fine, Headbanger.
Saul
Paul Revere (AMERICAN History to 1865): A hero of the REVOLUTIONARY WAR. On the night before the Battle of LEXINGTON AND CONCORD in 1775, Revere, a silversmith by trade, rode across the MASSACHUSETTS countryside warning the other colonists that British troops were moving toward them to seize military supplies and arrest revolutionaries. Revere got his information about the British through signal lights placed in a church tower by a friend (remember ONE IF BY LAND, AND TWO IF BY SEA?). Those whom he warned were ready to fight the British the next day. HENRY WADSWORTH LONGFELLOW told the story of the midnight ride, though not with complete accuracy, in his poem PAUL REVERE'S RIDE.
I don't remember that one. Too long ago. I remember the one with the blond hair among these very attractive longmaned dudes:
He did own three barber shops, though!
Looks pretty cool. But wait til it is longer it will look awesome man!
I like the old fassion look. It brings a bit of Dignaty to us with long hair. Those who simply wear their hair long and do not care to take the time for upkeep make those of us who do take time to care for their hair look bad.
Thank you for shairing a wonderful idea on how to do hair.

I think it looks good--it does need to grow another 2-3 inches and then cut the bottom of the 'tail so it's even. Very cool!
